Loved those beasts, that’s what I’m on in my sig pic.. don’t know if I even want to try riding one again, it’ll just remind me what 25 years of aging does, lol..

I had both a later model CR500 and KX500.. liked both, but the KX is a better all around engine because of the exhaust valve. I just was not that crazy about the ergonomics.

Pretty sweet! Now all you have to do is throw away the entire bike outside the engine and put it in a 2018 frame/plastics/suspension and go riiiiip it up.

huh?
unless youre going pro speed, then you can easily make those bikes very ridable..

and what would be the point? making it like a modern bike, youd be miles ahead just buy one..

i dont get your thinking at all..

btw to the op, great pick up, whsts your plans?
(now if you say throw all modern shit on it im gonna lose it..lol)

Every class of rider of every age respects the 500 motocrosser. I met a guy yesterday, hasn’t ridden in 20 years, but he last rode a 500 cc two-stroke, said it was the craziest thing he ever rode!

It's got some heavy springs, I assembled that bike for a friend, it's sprung for 300lb, unless the last guy changed them.
