Riding a bike on the edge of disaster is a recipe for pain, and the best ones do it for 70 mins every weekend. It’s bound to happen and it sure sucks when it does

In my opinion, I think the 4 stroke is what elevated the Europeans to the level they are today. Their tracks rut up worse than ours do and they race that shit year round over there. Over the years the talent has eveolved like the sport always has and they just all go fast now. Anyone running the top 10 in the GP’s and SX/MX today would be too 5 or podium 10 years ago.
You can do whatever you want to make a bike safer, taking away the suspension and making the motors slower, but human nature is what it is, and guys will try to go as fast as they can on whatever junk you give them, resulting in injuries.
I’m not going to say slower bikes because speed is all down to track design.
it's the reason you don't see anymore hard pack tracks on the AMA circuit, they can rip the tracks as deep as they want because of the power of four stroke and that's why you have a slot car tracks every weekend.
Pit Row
One ride behind either bike tells the story. I never have to worry about following the line of a fellow 2 stroke rider before I make a move and change it up. Behind a 4 stroke I'm already on the opposite side of the track trying new lines within 50 feet of them.
Bring back the 125's for 6 rounds and 6 rounds of 450's. See how it plays out for a few years.
