I wouldn't call cop's either. In some cases they'll come get it, impound it, and the owner will have to pay a big fee to get it back.

If it was insurance fraud, I would think there would be a police report declaring it stolen. It is possible that there was an alien abduction of the rider, maybe.

There was a dude that found a 700 in the desert on LivePD lately. Police pulled him over and he had to let the police impound it for 30 days. If the owner didn't turn up with proof of ownership, they said they would give it back to him.

Post on CL and any local facebook groups saying you found the bike with one pic. Ask for any identifyig info or paperwork.

There could be initials on some parts, maybe the fork caps, or stickers some place.

I don't care where or how you "found" that bike.......but I'll guarantee you that someone misses it......probably the poor guy that paid for it.

I doubt insurance fraud on a 9 year old bike........somethings fishy and I would distance myself from that bike and from the whole situation........go put it back where you found it.......If you are on the up and up and don't want trouble, I would right now take that bike back and replace it exactly how you found it......

If you want a 450, go buy one to call your own.....that one ain't your own....... If you try to keep that bike, somewhere, sometime, the owner or whatever may see you riding it around and how far do you think "but really officer.......I found it leaning against a tree in the woods."......is going to work out for you with absolutely no proof of ownership...Not to mention the possible ass kicking or worse that may come with it......mind your own business and get that machine out of your life. Just one mans opinion.

Really don't think the owner is out to kick my ass I have plenty of back up power if you want to really know ,all I wanted was good input on how to get this bike back to it's owner and I'm not letting some of the ignorance ass comments take a toll all cause some of you have nothing better to do than pass judgement ,well judge this come to Az come here hang out ,and see for yourself ,big talk ,come get sum ,WBinc.

Man....if I knew it was this easy all along. I'm going to go wander the woods and try and find an 18' - 19' Husky 250 2 stroke. Hoping that nobody has any claim to it and is totally legal for me to just keep it.

I'm poor......some rich guy bought it , but I deserve it more. Isn't this how society works now?

Assuming you were out on the trails on your own bike,did you leave your bike in the woods and take the Kawai? Did someone out in the woods find your bike to continue this lost & found cycle? Maybe you were out hiking?
