That trailer didn't look like anything special to me and with it coming out so soon I'm really skeptical.
i don’t think that trailer was updated gameplay. i mean they say free physics but the whip seemed the same and scripted so. and i bet the mxgp “team” hasn’t stopped working on the game since mxgp3 was released. i have no idea but i feel like that’s how it would go lol.

there has to be seperate teams working on these games. there’s no way they started working on mxgp pro after mes was done. so that makes me think there’s designated people for each or atleast working on both. what do i know though

i could see if they were advertising mxgp4, but with all this “new stuff” their boasting for Pro, it’s had to have been in development for a little while now. seems like a big physics change. but it makes more sense to me in terms of the timing when we know the game is going to have a very similar feel/look as previous titles. like madden and such and how they keep the same feel to the game but make improvements each title.

We started from the analysis of suspension, we compared the pressure with fork extensions as well as single shock-absorbers using the same values of official MXGP athletes’ bikes; the same process has been done with the ECU mapping.

Im SALTY and extremely skeptical after buying a broken xbox MES game from them. I put all my chips in on this team with MES buying digital $70 version with season pass...I deleted it in frustration - ground gameplay was cool but air physics like whip animation and fake terrain deformation got boring fast. Now Im guaranteed that MES will be dead by summer time, not that it was dead 3 weeks after release already. Maybe they have more respect for the mxgp players and their BS about free physics won't be lies. Skeptical side of me watched the trailer and Im like hmm those are "free" scrubs but why they look identical to the same animation from like 3 games now? Waiting for release before I touch this as they are making bold promises but I think they only make small changes and the rest are just good looking graphics.

Funny how the majority of the people who want more "realism" are those who ride the bike from 10ft behind lol. Seriously folks 1st person is the only way to play all racing games. If you suck so what? Get better just like real life.

The amount of tracks that users create daily makes me believe it's not going to die until MXGP Pro is released; even then it's going to keep growing with new tracks.

add one more to the cant use 1st person view. tried it in car racing also. I like seeing everything I guess.
I am also a touch scared of the new game. so many easy details missed in sx. ai slow and hitting the same blocks lap after lap. cant see season race results or fast laps in mains. no track breaking down ruts bumps etc. ice rink traction . maybe they meant to put in braking bumps and they were put in as whoops?

better ai, tracks with grip and ruts would be such a plus for sx.

Outdoor national game next after mxgp 4. I hope
That would be amazing! But I doubt that would ever happen. Maybe with a different company.

Well I can only give my personal experience on racing sims , since that is basically all I play. And a " sim " is just that.....a simulator. In the 4 wheel racing , any guy who is serious at racing , is in first person view. The fastest guys on any of the record boards....are all first person view. Usually the guys that play in first person , are guys who want to feel like they are really racing , an enthusiast and those guys will always out shine the " arcade racer's " in REAL SIM's" I speak of only the 4 wheel sims here , such as Automobilista , Rfactor 2 , iracing , Asseto Corsa and Race Room. All other driving games are exactly that.....games. Not sims.

In MES.....I know it's actually a game , and not a sim. But from a first person view , it sure does feel pretty good , and what I'd want to see if I was a badass on a bike. 3rd person....in anything.....ruins it for me. Same with shooter games. I have to be first person , or I simply won't play it.

^^^ You won't play anything in 3rd person? Sorry to say but you missed out and will continue to miss out on great games. The Navy SEALs games were great, Red Dead Redemption, Uncharted series, etc.

For racing games I agree that the 1st person view is the only way to go. I tried playing MES a few times in the 3rd person view and I just can't do it. For some reason it seems like I lose traction easily, the character looks goofy so it throws me off, forget about cornering properly.

Can’t wait to try the pro mode

To make the game experience even more unique, Milestone closed an exclusive partnership with Tim Gajser, Tony Cairoli, Gautier Paulin; and thanks to their suggestions, the developers succeed in reaching a surprising level of realism. Tim Gajser explained how to have fun whipping, scrubbing, and passing through whoops sections, while Tony Cairoli gave his feedback on Start & Braking Precision, including how to take advantage of the Starting Grid and brake precisely. Finally, Gautier Paulin advised on controlling the ruts and taking corners at top speed.

Do you play football games from inside the helmet, do you play hockey games from inside the helmet? Do you look through the eyes of the character from grand theft auto? It doesn’t matter how anyone likes to play the game that’s why there is different views..... it’s all up to how the person wants to play but thanks for your input.

its obvious this game runs better in first person, what is the argument here........graphics, physics, rider control, clearly built from that perspective WITH the addition of running 3rd person for the less skilled. This is basically our pro mode at the moment

I play in this mode to make the game more realistic and harder and it turns out I cannont win every main in the 450s, still struggling to win a championship because it takes away some consistency against RD

Playing on the PS4/PS4 Pro in that video. Will the Xbox version be as broken as MES when it's released? Hope not for those guys.

So in MXGP Pro you can still use normal mode which I'm guessing is what we currently have in MES?

MXGP Pro Reveal event video. Again, a very, very early build video but they talk about the focus on realism. Looking forward to it!!

I could give a shit about “realism” I have 3 real dirt bikes to ride....All I want is to be able to throw fat whips....probably why I still love Reflex.

I get a kick out all you first person die hards. Doesn’t matter how you play the game bros.

Honestly, they made that scrub look animated when the camera view changed from the first person view. What if the free scrub thing in pro is just an animated scrub starting from the base, but the in air part becomes free lol. What would be fucking sick is if the bike couldn’t even enter that BS animiatiom for whips/scrubs..
