Threads like this is the reason Vital has a bad image with the riders, industry and media. A fan popular former champion who loves the sport and still puts it in the main gets shit on by a internet forum that supposedly is about pro racing? This place deserves the shit image it has.

No doubt there are some smart people here... but if you just used the average post as a gauge... well.

And I don't think you can say what someone can or can't do, it's what they've chosen to do... NBA/NFL might be the exception due to the unique physical attributes needed... but anyone who has wholly dedicated their life to the point of being one of the very best ever is most likely more than capable of being good at anything if they were just as dedicated. For the majority, hard work always wins.

I know some engineers, docs and lawyers who I went to school with who weren't exceptional at all, one of them was maybe less than average... but they worked their fucking asses off and are now successful... Fuck man, I was on academic scholarships and am a designer! Brains are only part of the equation.

Broke my ankle badly last February and I still have lots of pain. I'm not in Reed shape but I'm blown away at what he's been doing. I'm not a huge Reed fan by any means but I'm glad he is out there and I'm confident he still has something left in the tank.

Agreed, but I do question his fitness these days. I know he was injured but I don't think he has the motivation at this age to get into tip top shape again like the young lads (gym/cardio/etc.). I think he's one to more ride more laps to get in shape instead of hitting the gym which nowadays might not be enough to get him where he wants to be. But then again if anyone can do it, Chad can.

For the haters, think about this - Chad is so good at what he does he's able to make the night shows while being totally out of shape and an elder in the sport. Something to be said about that.

As I see it, some people seem to have a problem with that, obviously Chad doesn't.
If anyone believes it's wrong or he takes a spot that a privateer would have etc, take the spot from him.
Easy peasy, you just need to qualify for the main event and beat the old guy.
It's not given to him, he earns every main event he's a part of.
Show some respect, He's a badass.
