Kok, cock, de kok & de cock are common familynames over here.
And Dick was a popular name in the 50s to 70s.

So yes there are multiple people over here who have the name "Dick Cock", i personally know a Dick de Cock

Had one that raced in a series I did

Dusty hill - I would tell him he should become a race promoter just so there would be a "dusty hill raceway".

When I was in college, way back in the early 90’s, I had a class with a kid named Richard Faggert. Stand up kid, nice Camaro. Couldn’t get a date to save his ass...... The torture middle school must have been for him

I always thought the 250s had an inordinately high number of “noun” names. These are just guys who made mains since 2012, and even then only most of them.

Hill, Gardner, Hampshire, Robin, Archer, Bell, Moss, Faith, Baker, Raper, Canada, Champion
And in the “close enough” folder we have Webb, Frye, Coates, Weeck, Tennant, Lilly & Baguette.

If you had to choose your occupation, based only on 250 names...

But maybe I’m being silly and it’s not inordinate at all. Out of a pool of hundreds I guess you can expect it.
As for weird...Laninovich? Vanbuskirk? Cianciarciulo???

Girl I used to work with had Wackerfuss for a L.N. Damn.

I agree with Laninovich, what made it even better was a few years after him, we had Lapinovich Woohoo it was like a running joke.

I have actually met other people with the Cianciarulo last name

I do remember going to the wildwood, NJ beach race and thinking I had stumbled into a UN role call.

Lots of Greek, italian, and other ethnicities, some with a lot of vowels, some with hardly any.

The trick I learned when announcing names you weren't sure about was to just say it a bit different Everytime and hope you got it right a few times.

Did she beat him up because of the name
Picabo is a nurse in an Intensive Care Unit. They don't let her answer the phone though because they don't her answering saying, "Picabo, ICU."

Dusty Klatt also popped into my head right away!

I remember when this legend came on the scene, his last name was butchered up good by me and my mx buddies until we saw how to say it correctly in MXA magazine....
