Google SupercrossX and Bradley Miller

Yamaha bit on that one hard too, If I wanted to sell some bullshit scam to a Factory Team Yamaha would be top of the list.

This has to be one of the worst websites I've even seen. Totally ignores mobile conversions too.

Knich, Knaux, Davi or whoever is behind it - if you're reading this I could fix your site (and brand).

Pretty sure that it's part of WMG (Wasserman Media Group). They represent a bunch of big time athletes. They're behind it and the one's with the money.

I was gonna link this as well.

The Auto Play Video is a skateboard, the logo in the how it works section is a surfboard, the ambassador is a motocross rider and you can win his bike but it seems like the boxes are snowboards.....

I clicked around, they seem to be pretty into teal camo, thats kind of all i got from it. Unfortunately knich hasnt honed in on their niche

As a shark tank viewer, they would have a field day with this. Its like a bunch of vague 'live the lifestyle' statements with no substance

Knich is just another color on the Mr. Bradley Mccorkle chameleon it seems. Anyone with Google can see the many colors if they do their research. Not really sure who dropped the ball on researching this new company before getting involved with them.

Either the check bounced or never showed up at Yamaha.

Now Yam has to spend thousands re wrapping the truck and getting new graphics and pit shirts before Friday.

Which brings up the larger picture- is Yamaha so bereft of outside support that they let these guys be the lead outside sponsor, or did the marketing team at Yam fall for a line of bullshit from some bro super salesman?

I’m sure the first check from Blimpie cashed just fine for Suzuki, but don’t teams even check financials on these companies? ( if this is a financial issue of course).

Paging AT&T or Verizon. I know it won't happen but it would be a great ROI for the money it would cost in my opinion.

I get the idea. If you hardcore into one of the board sports they offer it can work as you can swap out a board every month. Let’s say you get the gold package for $99 per month plus the insurance of $9.95. U pick the surfboard swap option, you then pay $1,440 per year and can swap out the board every month for a different one. I know surfboards are $700 or more and with the gold package you can keep it after 6 months if you didn’t swap it out. Regardless you can swap out multiple times and keep a board which is worth it as surfboards get dings and need to be replaced at least yearly if your paddling out multiple times a week and can break as well and with the insurance it works. This is really for the hardcore daily user type though, otherwise not really worth it.

My son told me about the big truck they use to promote the company. It's on their social media. Apparently, it was on the Diesel Brothers show on the Discovery Channel, and it belonged to some kind of ammo dealer company, owned by the Knich life guy, before they had it wrapped for Knich Life. There's a huge rabbit hole to go down after I started to Google......

Just spoke to one of the agents at Wasserman, they have absolutely nothing to do with this Knich deal, Yamaha team or Davi Millsaps deals.

Cypress, CA - February 21, 2018 – It is with great disappointment that Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A announces that it has fallen for another slick marketing pitch by the latest questionable start up "Lifestyle" company.

Yamaha's Vice President of Motorsports was unavailable for further comment, as he was meeting with a wealthy Nigerian Prince about future sponsorship opportunities.

ATT is a terrible payer (customer of ours) - very late (+120 days), which is ironic because if you don't pay their bill on time they cut you off immediately. They could be the sponsor but everybody involved would get paid 4 months after the season was over....

What a joke! Not even 2 months into the year and the sponsor gets canned for what is obviously non-payment.
IMO it’s embarrassing and amateurish for both parties.
There’s a lot of sponsorship breach in motorsports, but this is one of the bigger failures that I can remember.

WMG has a department for creative design, they did the logo and possibly some website design but they aren’t involved in the Knich brand beyond that. Just a hired out contractor.

That business model as really taken off over the past couple of years. Shoes are doing really well. You have everything from kids toys to underwear monthly subscription.

I am that target demographic but couldn't care less about it.

BTW, Knich was/is an action sports lifestyle brand not some monthly subscription business.
well it kinda was a monthly subscription. you payed monthly and you got to choose what “action sport” product you wanted to use. for example you could get a snowboard for the winter and then send it back in the summer and get a wakeboard. you pay monthly for action sports products that i guess you essentially lease from them. if i got tired of the wakeboard i could send it back and they could send me a skateboard. i think it was something like $25 monthly...something in that ballpark

i guess i should have read through the pages before responding. i didn’t refresh the page

i actually had a few convos via instagram to whoever runs their IG page. i was telling them respectfully how terrible and confusing their image is and unprofessional and confusing everything is. all i got was “thanks bro! knich 4 life!” responses. it was bizzare

Maybe they're trying to distance themselves from this abortion, but this is on their site under the Monthly Subscription Contract:

THE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND Knich Life Co.

Knich Life Co., KLCOG, LLC., WPG, Inc., & WMG, LLC., offers four (4-10 & can vary, depending on promotions) different re-billable monthly subscriptions (“Monthly Subscriptions”).

I thought this was kind of weird a week after Davi retires, I looked at getting the basic suspriction but other then supporting the sport that's basically all id be doing, they spent more on marketing then product, and it would take years for them to sell enough surf boards and t shirts to pay for a sponsorship like that, seems like they just want to get their name out there imo

According to transworld, theres a little more to the Knich sponsorship...

We and many others wondered what exactly Knich is, as it’s unusual for a brand-new company to become a major supporter of a factory team. After talking to some people familiar with the company, we were told that Knich is the side project of an entrepreneur that is highly involved in ammunition and that Knich was created to side-step a restriction against firearm sponsorship. The founder of Knich is a friend to Millsaps, hence the connection to the team.

At the time we were told that aside from the entrepreneur making his initial money in ammunition, there is no direct connection between Knich and firearms.

The press release from Yamaha, which is posted in full below, included very limited details and only stated that the agreement is void, effective immediately.

Cypress, CA – February 21, 2018 - It is with great disappointment that Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., has terminated Knich's sponsorship agreement with Yamaha Factory Racing, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Keith McCarty, Motorsports Racing Division Manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A.

Isn't Davi's friend an owner or something? Personally I think Knich was willing to sponsor whatever team Davi was on (and possibly even open up the cheque book for Davi to be on the team) and now that Davi has retired they have no reason to support the team.

I have no facts to back this up but it's just what it looks like to me.

How cool would a monthly or weekly Jimmy Johns subscription be. Randomly just once a week a random JJ sub rocks up at your door at home or work.
