Would be nice to just see him either race and race competivly the rest of Sx/Mx in 2018 or show up and broadcast and announce what he has been unto and retirement and move on. I would like to see JS7 at some of the races and be involved with the sport. r

Be at every race with Malcolm and support him and JGR. You know Malcolm would be there if it was the other way around. But Im sure Im missing something as why he is not there for his Brother?!

James has been silent for so long that if he was to show up to support Malcolm he'd be bombarded by a bunch of questions, fans, etc. and I think he might be over that and just doesn't want to deal with it in that scenario.

If he shows up at Tampa it's on his own terms and knows full well going into it what's going to happen.

James is enjoying his newborn and family, I don't think a crowbar can pry those brothers apart, I'm sure they're doing fine. I'm with you, I would love to see Bubba on a bike again, after all, he was the guy that stirred me to get back into this sport.

The fan in me really wants to see him out there , just laying wood to some of these younger guys. But as a person.....if we don't see him back on a bike , I'm ok with that too. The guy has all the money he'll ever need , has a family and his heart just isn't in it. Reed has the same thing but just loves racing to much to quit. I can dig both of their situations.

I hear ya! I have a 5 year old son and a 3 year old daughter and when they were babies until about 2 years old is when I really started bringing them out to the track and trying to get them involved. This summer will be the best my daughter is pumped to ride so Im taking my sons PW50 and putting new White plastics with pink graphics and getting him a new KTM 50 or really want to get him a new YZ65 with some Starting Blocks and let him go!

You would think that you would see James at most races if he wasn't hiding from the media. Once this is all over rather he races or not Im sure we will see a lot more of him.

I agree with you Jeff. It would be great to see him ride but James has everything a man can ask for plus more!

I read somewhere about him writing a book on his life? I wonder how much truth there is in that? I would buy the book.

Kinda sucks that guy can’t go anywhere without getting harassed and asked about retirement or what he’s doing. loves motocross and can’t go to any tracks without being bombarded.

Dude just wants left alone.

If he didn't leave everyone in the dark the way he has, people would leave him alone. He has fans and they want to know what's going on. If those fans knew what was going on, they wouldn't feel the need to approach him and ask.

Even still, people are going to approach him for some time. He's one of the biggest names in the history of the sport. People will want to get a quick picture or autograph. It will fade out over time, but he's not doing anything to help that.

It’s nice not being famous. When I don’t want people knowing my business they don’t give a shit. Stew doesn’t have that luxury.

It would take like 5 minutes to just post something on social media or whatever. Something along the lines of "thank you all for the support over the years. Thank you to my family, friends and sponsors who made me everything I am. I am now stepping away from this sport to focus on my family."

Done. Seriously. It's that easy. Thats literally all he has to do if he wants to be able to go enjoy riding his bike on any other tracks. Why is that such an imposition? Why do you make excuses for completing such a small task? Being a professional athlete comes along with being famous. Anyone who doesn't know that is a moron. If he didn't want to be famous he should have got a regular job and rode dirt bikes for fun like the rest of us.

Would really like to see JS get in shape and do one more race but I'm okay if he just shows at Tampa and bows out.

If I were Feld I would offer James some serious coin to come back out of the woodwork whether it would be to ride, participate in the broadcast or just be an ambassador. He has charisma and a legacy that may have grown because he became so scarce. I really think he would give the sport a boost.

Maybe after all these years being in front of the camera smiling showing charisma, and making silly YouTube dancing videos, he was really trying to just compress his inner hermit crab, and it’s finally taken him over lol

I can get with that. For the most part, people are annoying. He has his family, close friends, and money. No need to continue the charade any longer.

One thing he may consider is to just come out and have a open forum weekend and give every reporter and fan time to ask all their questions. Be totally open and answer everything. People are fickle and once the mystery is gone, they will soon forget and he can be free to live his life however he chooses without all the mass hysteria and fan and media hype.

By keeping the mystery going, he is ensuring that he will never get rid of the inquiring minds and flocks of people poking in his life. Just put it all out there, become a regular at the track for a few weeks helping his brother and signing autographs. He will soon fade away and be just another guy. MC can walk around the pits and not even get bothered. Pretty sure Dungey has a decent life right now too, he was always transparent and he is pretty much left alone.

He brings much of it on himself, and I know he has the right to do as he pleases, just posing another alternative here.

And all this baby talk is a bunch of BS. We all love our kids and family, but nobody is so consumed by them 24x7x365 that they cannot go support their brother on a Saturday night. I will 100% guarantee you he plays at least 72 holes of golf a week, without his wife and kid.

Comeon back James, we will demand much for about a week or two, then its all good.

Just seems strange to me how a racer who has achieved so much greatness can keep the public in limbo and not say a single word as to his current situation in regards to his status.

Is he purposely keeping his options open by not officially retiring, or do we just assume he's gone for good without a word spoken from the source himself.

It's quite sad really, as love him or hate him he is one of the all time greats and deserves a send off at the very least.

Dude, you dont have to click on the JS7 links just as you dont have to click on any other link. Its FORUM seems like people forget what the word means.

For the most part, I don't think James can do anything right in the media / industry / fan's eyes. . .

I think we will see criticism for how he retires. There will be some sort of drama around it.

James Stewart makes the industry money. . . no matter what he does.

Even him being quiet landed him the cover of Racer X last month.

I truly don't think a majority of people will ever be satisfied with anything that James has done, or will do.

We will have the small group of us that are understanding that he has his own life, and has accomplished more than enough, though will be sad to see him go. . . and then there will be everyone else that will lose their mind.

How was that RacerX article anyways? Anything good in it or just the same rampant speculation that we often see here?

All I got was backyard and Tampa. Sounds like James bought a new house in Tampa, possibly with a swingset.

I agree. Whether he puts out the best retirement post ever he will still be hated for it. Whether he shows up at an SX and wins he will still be hated. Sucks but just how it is. JS7 will always make the industry money because of how big his name is.
