Anderson: Jason rode well tonight! Jason's Dunlops hooked up off the gate and Jason was able to get the lead early.
Jason can't thank his Rockstar Energy Husqervarna team.

It’s like watching old school wrestling!

I can't stand how many times Anderson says "you know" in an answer or when he's explaining something. To generalize, it seems to be an American thing. They guy from American chopper big Paul says it uncontrollably.

Really? This is where we’re at in the complaint department. Better then “I cant thank” fill in the blank. It is a team sport and yup the rider does a big portion of it, but it’s a team effort behind him supporting the rider to be in his current position. I would be happy with “ I rode well” and I am also happy to hear a rider give praise to the overall work by the team. The rider wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t all hands on deck and had multiple people helping throughout the week up to the race. So if the rider uses we over I... cool with it.

Pro Motocross is a team sport. Those guys at the front wouldn't be able to do what they do without the 70 hr weeks the rest of the team puts in to get them there. It's a simple acknowledgement to the guys working their rings out to provide a better bike for the throttle twister. If a rider doesn't twist it right, he's the only one who then isn't part of we. There's plenty more waiting to take his place.

We don't find it annoying. We have bigger things to worry about than what some riders some on a Saturday night after a race. After all we watch for enjoyment and entertainment.

I don’t think anyone is worse than Joey Savatgy at dropping “we”.

I had a "I did this, I did that" boss. It's way more annoying that a "We" guy.

I think it's great that the rider isn't up there all "I did this and I did that" . Yes the rider is the one WE see,
but it's not always the rider who knows how to set up the bike that the rider can have great results.
Just an example folks, there's more to it. How about picking out the proper tire set? So many things!
If the suspension is off just a bit the rider goes from hero to zero. Then who's fault is it? So yes, "we"
is the proper term.
TM
Agreed. Nothing kills a team morale more than the rider saying "I" all the time. Any positive should be "we", anything negative should be "I".

This drives me crazy. For example Tomac, never a "we" and then somewhere last season he goes fully in and is "we" this and that. And then the idiotic "Yeah, no" answers. OMG, this one drives me even more crazy. And then I hear the occasional "No, yeah" thrown in there as well. Come on you guys, I know education has not been a priority but surely you can figure out how to speak without the "yeah, no" BS.

Full props to AC92, he is most likely the best of the entire bunch for being able to speak properly.

Whenever I see Joey do an interview in the Meanie Jeannie era I always think he is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Even when he rides well he is criticizing himself. I can't imagine what Monday mornings on the GOAT farm are like....

It is called the "imperial" or "royal we" and it is how dignified and selfless people speak when representing an entire team, or business, or nation.

"People often note, when they hear the Queen of England speak, that she uses 'we' instead of 'I.' The reason is that she is speaking for the nation and not for herself."

Only Kenny Powers and Donald Trump are excused from invoking the 'royal we.'

Am I the only it annoys the crap out of when these guys can't give an interview without using the word "we" a dozen times? Is it the new fad like tucking there ears in there hat like a douchebag? WE rode good tonight, WE had a good week on the bike, WE need to keep our head down etc. I never noticed anyone saying it before Dungey, I guess WE can thank him for that and "super pumped".
If you’ve never competed at the highest level of motorsport, you’ll never realize just how much of a team sport it is.

Those instances where a rider gets to say WE means a lot to the people who help him. Those little “thank yous” go a long way.

Pro athletes/entertainers can be incredibly selfish. I wont fault them for the moments when they are not.
