I think it's great. Some kid will probably google "Honda racing" and pick up some info about the sport.

Honda 500 racing?? Would that be in reference to the NSR500 they killed in the early 2000's?

No doubt some people will Google it but on the other hand if a kid/teen is into fashion like we're into moto I highly doubt he'll bother mom and dad for a dirt bike.

Don't think Honda being in Forever 21 will sell more bikes.

I'm afraid the days when kids exercised their innate curiosity through positive self-seeking learned behaviors are over. The only thing some kid will think while wearing one of those culturally misappropriated uniforms is, "do I need to take a selfie now? How about now? Do I look good standing here to take a selfie? How about now? Will this make me look good? How good do I look? Damn I look good. I want to look good. I hope taking this 100th selfie will make me feel good. I don't feel good. Food."

Well that might be true. But there are people out there that want to stand out and be different.

I know that i do that when i buy my shirts for my suits. I get mine from the Swedish company named Grand Frank. They have unique designs that make me stand out.

The same thing applies to everything. I'm sure there will be people that get their eyes on this!

There are a few artists that stand out though, Redrama, Dagger D, JAG and Bomfunk MC's come to mind. Yeah add Beats and Styles(more hip hop, listen to the songs Renegade and Dynamite) to that list, MBR might agree with me Wink

I'm really into grime at the moment. UK rap is top notch.
I actually didn't mind Bomfunk MC's "Freestyler" back in the day, never heard any of their other stuff though.

Yeah that is one of the biggest hits in our history together with Darude - Sandstorm!

Bomfunk MC's had at least one more good song: Bomfunk MC's - (Crack It) Something Going On

Played the shit out of Sandstorm too... We had these compilation CD's call "Wild" and they had all the techno type of tunes, which were pretty popular around here for a while.

Sorry to get off topic.

A little humble brag never hurt anyone, but I actually have directed music videos for both Darude and Bomfunk MC's, (unfortunately not for Freestyler or Sandstorm). Darude actually used to ride motocross when he was younger and for the last 10 years we have tried to find a day to go riding together Smile

Right on! We all had big sound systems in our vans (spoiled teenagers) and would crank these tunes at the track on race day... Humble brags are all good, we'd be getting ready to be lapped by Chad multiple times during those years, and his vans were piles of junk with reconditioned engines!Laughing

Then he’ll see some video of racing and say to himself, NO THANKS.

Modern dirtbike racing is the equivalent of a daredevil sport. The avg non-participant looks at what we do and thinks we are nutso.

Motorcycles = Fun .... to any kid or most adults. The feel of a rev’ing engine is addictive.

Motorcycles on Dirt? = More Fun ... because there is the illusion that it is safer.

That’s why MX was huge in the 70’s.

As the bikes have gotten bigger and the tracks more focused on jumps, participation has declined. It doesn’t help that the key marketing tool is Supercross. Which again, is daredevil shit to anyone sane. Nothing about how the sport is sold to the public says “motorcycle, dirt, safe”.

They can partner with clothing brands or run 15 minute pieces on women racers during the broadcast til the cows come home. It wont save dirtbike sales or racing.

Meanwhile UTV sales are holding up the off-road industry and their racing series are growing. Go figure: engine + dirt, no crazy jumps... it looks fun & safe because it is.

The current version of dirtbike racing only will ever appeal to a very small demographic.

Or some believe that Fox ain’t legit anymore becuse they went “mainstream”...
Ot that certain things are “core” & other things aren’t....

Me? I love ALL OF IT. Those people are all fans of the sport and/or the culture and/or the life-style.

So many people up in h’yar just need to get over themselves.

I'm glad I was ahead of my time with my moto logo T-shirts in school in '78. I'm glad to see the little kiddies like Beiber finally caught on.

Dimebag from Pantera wearing some Answer Racing back in the days. This is acceptable.

Exactly. I don't understand why people here get butt hurt when someone like Justin Bieber is photographed out riding a dirt bike. Or Rhianna wearing MX related gear or her being on the back of a dirt bike. So because people here don't enjoy his or her music or attitudes or whatever that means they're not aloud to like dirt bikes? It's pathetic.

I love when I see stuff like this in mainstream. It makes me proud to be a part of a small sport getting a little recognition. Im probably weird for feeling that way but oh well.

So for you guys who are not Honda fans, if there was a fashion-channel outlet for your motorcycle brand, would you have a problem with it? How many of you would buy KTM stuff at Tilly's or Yamaha product at Nordstrom? How about Kawasaki or Suzuki? Husqvarna?
Is there a need for "nicer" clothing than the t-shirts you can get at the motorcycle dealership?

Seems like Honda would see a niche and create their own line of wear. They could call it "Honda Line." Whistling I know a sharp guy in Austin that could run it for 'em------but he's retired and would need big dough to come off the couch.... Ron---do you hear me?! Wink
