He is going to ride around in 10-15th place and then just get in the way when the leaders come by to lap him...maybe he will even decide to "battle" with them for a few laps and later proceed to complain and cry about his bike, the track, and his poor results.

Going to be tough without training, riding or testing before the season. He is crazy talented but this will be the least prepared he has ever been for a series.

I wish him the best. But honestly going in with no engine package done, barely get any riding or testing done, and being sore and go full 20 l, and then have to go back to the drawing board, he was better prepared in 2011 when he did the PC backed CRF 450, i am very curious if he can make it through, but i never doubt him.

If he really wants to win he probably should have been training hard and figuring out a motorcycle before November. As you get older you need to work harder to maintain your level, seems like hes been taking the opposite approach ever since he pulled out of the outdoors back in 15. Good luck to him.

Well listening to pulp they said chad will have very little time on the bike before A1. He’s also only ridden a few times since May so I think A1 is going to be badddd. There’s 16 factory guys that are coming in strong and healthy

I like Chad, and have rooted for him in the past.

He will not win this year. He will mostly finish 10th-15th. He will get some 5th-10th place finishes, but no podiums.

I know it is only 2 races, but look at Phoenix and Vegas last year. That was literally 7 months ago that he probably would have won Vegas if he didn't get parked by Anderson. I understand, its hard to pull for someone that you don't like, but look at what hes done recently. You can't say he doesn't still have the ability to win.
In Vegas, tomac slowed the top 4 guys down by 2-3 seconds a lap. That is the only reason Reed was even close to the front runners.

I once said before the start of the season, that CR won't even break the top 5. I'm not making that mistake again.
It's pretty incredible that he's still out there fighting and putting in the effort.
I know I'll be smiling when I see him on the podium.

I'm not sure I would watch the races if Chad wasnt riding, I hope he stay 2 more seasons at least. If he is consistently out of the top 10 then maybe call it earlier but I can't see it, he is still beating guys that people refer to as the next big thing. But still gets the same people saying he is past it and should retire.....If you enjoy what you do keep doing it I say.

Call me out in May if I am wrong. I will have zero trouble admitting that I was wrong.

He has only ridden a few hours since Vegas, and has been laid up with a broken foot since RBSR. I think he is doing a farewell tour like someone else mentioned, and maybe trying to beat Larraco's starts record.

I will be cheering for the guy, but I am just trying to set realistic expectations.

Im really happy that he is doing this. He said few days earlier that he’s now cleared to ride and train. It wont be easy, but im sure he will fight hard to show that he can do it.

A1 is in 3 weeks! I figure three months to get his fitness back. If he just started riding, then by mid-March he should be hitting his stride. That would be Rd11 or Rd 12, so either St Louis or Indianapolis.

If he finishes in 10th place or better in any of the first five races, I will be absolutely blown away, and eat crow.
