Oh no I hope he's okay. He's been a huge positive figure in the sport and produced two great sons and now has a grandson. Hoping its nothing serious and he's back with the family soon. Get well soon big James!

Interesting theory. I don't think he would have the sequential compression devices on his lower legs though if he was just going in and out quick for a simple procedure. I have no clue. I'm just speculating because that's why we're here. I'm sticking with my pneumonia, gall bladder, kidney stone theory.

Bummer.

The year his boy went undefeated, I watched him hold court at Budds with maybe 2 dozen guys, All looked like they were dads themselves. A treasure trove of really practical advice on how to make it. From getting sponsors, to coupons at roadside stands for food and fuel, getting bikes and parts, motivation, training, you could tell, he was the man that made it happen.

The world could use a few more like that guy.

As an RN, I'm sure this poster is an RN as well. Truth is, he's probably right. I see that he isn't even hooked up to a heart monitor, so that is a good sign as well.

As a paramedic I again agree. Of course it could easily be something serious that a picture wouldn't show such as a stroke leaving the other side of his body paralyzed it looks more like routine observation. Low flow cannula and no monitor are good signs. The only troubling sign is the compression stockings. Those are normally used on people who can't walk. Likely went in for weakness or the flu or some type of routine procedure and they kept him for observation/recovery.
