Redbud and Unadilla from the 80's. Both tracks were different than they are now. They were extremely fun tracks to ride, especially on a 500cc 2 stroker..

Swan MX Park and Cycle Ranch are the best here in TX.

Best night track belongs to Freestone Co. Raceway.

Meh. Swan is decent but no where close to being one the best tracks in TX. The Edge (Edgewood, TX) and Underground MX (Kemp, TX) blow Swan out of the water. I always get a membership to Swan, but it’s such a boring track...BUT I’ll still take the seat time. Lol
In my opinion there are 2 different Swan's. The one Troy preps for the Pro Challenge that has over a 2 minute lap time, gets rough as hell, and is very challenging. Then the other is his every other weekend track that cuts out entire sections and all the jumps are big rollers.

To see if I could rent the track, he said no way, great place
Yeah that's where I cut my teeth...He used to open Saturday & Sunday $10/day to ride. Couldn't beat it.

I started riding mx in 2003 and by 2004 I was still learning and I couldn't really take advantage of how awesome that track was. I'd pay big $ to have the opportunity to ride it again...most guys around here would do the same. Dean's son, Phillip, is still pretty active on social media and I think he restored an old 1983 Maico bike last year.

As a guy who has been able to cover both coasts I'd say:

- Zaca - just fun, Ed does an amazing job and the track makes anyone feel like Richard Carmichael
- Southwick - no need to comment
- ClubMX - best track on the east coast the year they opened
- Hangtown - the layout flows so well and after big races when the rice hulls are there its prime
A solid 5 hours and 30 minutes from where I live in VA. Worth the drive for a good weekend MX trip?

One of my favorites was Povolny's place down in Kentucky. Horseshoe bend MX. I don't think it's there anymore. Also Daniel Boone was (is?) a top notch track. In Ohio I would say that Briarcliff takes the cake.

Yeah, I get where you are coming from. Unfortunately, that only adds 2 sections to the track; a small rhythm section with doubles, a left turn, and a big ass double that is only open for the pro shootout.

Club MX is awesome and I'd say very much worth it. The Practice Facility is my main spot as I don't have the cajones to ride the main track. For that amount of driving you should make it out to one of their special events and make a eeekend of it. The sand track is super gnarly but the opportunity to ride it is very limited.

Yep. 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sunday of every month...and every Friday night! Much like a previous poster described the prep for Swan, they would rip Rio DEEP for the big races....and it would get ROUGH. Raced there from 76 until 91....great track.

X2. The facility as a whole is awesome. Two tracks and all kinds of offroad trails. Best part is it's 15 minutes from my house!

Sunset Ridge is a great track and facility. The dirt is amazing and they mix up the layout quite often. We are really lucky in Illinois to have a huge concnetration of tracks within 3 hours.
