Just pointing out the facts, Tomac is not quite dominating this year but he has a big points lead and has won multiple motos and overalls unlike last year and he still went 4 for 4 pretty easily after going 3 for 24 in the nationals.

Tomac didnt race Lommel 2012 .. so nope , but its weird nobody mentions all his MXON results ... thats a one weekend race that counts , a quest race is something else in my opinion ... you think Cairoli would battle with Tomac this year if he still hasnt go the title ?? not likely , but he would battle him at MXON ...thats a difference in my opinion , and that why its weird you take the other races as a benchmark , but not the obvious one , MXON races

Luckily for AC222, Tomac flew off his bike in 2013, or he might have caught him on the smaller bike.

Race 1 (MX1 + MX2)

Lap Rank Finish Best Lap In Lap Rider
1 16 1:42.466 11 Eli Tomac (USA)
2 1 1:42.937 5 Antonio Cairoli (ITA)
3 2 1:43.457 3 Ken Roczen (GER)

Out of 6 motos they have raced, Tomac has beat AC 5 times. The only time he lost is when he flew off his bike.

Oh so all of the benchmark races get to be held in Europe on GP tracks.... I would probably think that too from your perspective.

You septic tanks (Yanks) put far too much emphasis on Tomac's USGP victories when the rest of the MXGP regulars were in holiday mode at Charlotte and Glen Helen, just riding out the end of their long 17 race series.
I'd be far more impressed if he stood up like a man and represented his country at the MXoN.
How come it's now a meaningless race to many American fans?, the same fans who basked in Team USA domination for many years?
You can't have it both ways or re-write history and forget the MXDN legacy that is surely worth more!
Once Team USA stopped winning the MXDN lost it's shine for many US fans, substituted by a meaningless Monster money race in tinsel town Las Vegas.
Feel sorry for Eli, but karma can be a bitch and come back to haunt him when still chasing that elusive SX title in 2018.

Doing some back pedaling now Mr Dick Loots? Looks like PB and SS721 just set you strait.

Also funny how you say only the one race ( MXoN's ) should be the one measured , while the actual championship rounds don't? Haha ok.

Yeah we are talking about this years USGP, so USGP results are relevant...

If you were talking about how Tomac would do at Matterly, you would have to consider his recent mxdn results.

Is it really that hard to understand?

You septic tanks (Euros) only had to finsh a short series riding (holidays) while Tomac had to ride two series starting in January. Yes I can see why Tomac went easy on the GP boys & didn't embarrass them by winning all 4 motos by a minute plus. Hearlings said if he had to race as much as the US riders do, he'd probbaly sit out the MXON too.

So it's a holiday when GP riders come to the U.S. but when we go overseas for MXDN on tracks our riders have never been to it is totally different, right? You are saying we pick and choose which races matter but you do the same thing.

Both series have very fast guys. Both series at any time could claim their guy(s) is/are the fastest in the world and be correct. However, either side of the pond will have an advantage when racing on tracks they know. I'd expect Red Bud to favor our guys next year just like this year will favor the MXGP guys.

you should compare carrier long sand skills with supercross skills. Same as dutch and belgium produce top sand riders, france (europe) produce better supercross riders together with US.

Dick is the short version of Richard , in case you didn't know that? But it seemed to fit this conversation pretty well , since you were coming off as one.

The chest pounding in these threads are hilarious to say the least. I enjoy our American Nationals , and I enjoy the GP's. We only have a 1-2 GP's a year where we get to see both groups race together. The MXoN's is an awesome race too.....but what gets tiring is GP fans using the right to brag about other countries , that aren't their own....when a GP rider beats an American.

Unless you are from Belgium or France....you other's should really just shut up. Take Mr Yep for instance. His country finishes mid pack in the B final....but sure as hell come on here and start shit when some other rider , that's NOT from his country beats an American.

On this board....it's American riders vs the entire planet.

How about root for your own country? Why leach onto the glory of some country you have no part of?

B-final he ...For youre memory ..we the dutch , that small country from europe , were second and beat you at last MXON and we beat you before at MXON. Herlings is dutch , you know and beat a lot of US riders in his career .Coldenhoff and many more MX2 riders are dutch and they race MXON every year

so are we in any form a serious contender in MX you think ? i like to think so , even its only a handfull of riders

and for the Cairoli thing , i was only making a comparison with a single rider. I would have used Herlings , but he didnt race 450 last years . Thats all , dont get too excited.
and for the chestpounding , come on ...that goes both ways , some reactions are hilarious

so how does that story above has anything to do with me ? as i always root for my country and riders like Herlings , and when i do youre the one calling me Dick ... is it left or right ?

as you i watch the AMA outdoors , SX indoors and all the MXGP series and love it all and repect all those riders

As for the top riders from both sides ,i think on any day any rider can win on any track.
