that's me on the far left on the yamaha. I did the riding for the sister except when the sister and brother were riding at the house. I was the brother who goes flying through the fence.

This was a non riding scene where she looks over at my finger nails that are now polished for "arm pump"
Where were the scenes at the house with that sick track filmed at? Been wondering this for 15 years....

Haha Diamond Dave Demangos #84! Haven't seen that dude in years. I remember when he was out filming Motocrossed. The movie sounded absolutely corny and it certainly delivered.

Well... Eric Sorby has experience in front of the camera from Bubba's World...!

Of course, in the sequel, Andie has a daughter, who also rides. Andie had to stop riding because of too many injuries, and now she's afraid of her daughter getting hurt. Her daughter continues behind her back, and eventually convinces her mom to let her race if that's what she wants to do.

A few things happened on this show that was odd. A couple background riders riffled through the FMF semi taking what they said they were told was OK to take. They were escorted off the set.

We had a lot of fun. Mike Craig, Steve Lamson, Rich Taylor, Dave Castillo, Chris Wheeler, Michael Sleeter, Dogger, Oakley Lehman, Clay Cullen, Stanton Barrett, Dave Demangos, Shane trittler.... man there were a lot of rides on this movie. It got heated sometimes!

Just kidding man what you do is awesome. RT is the man too. I worked with him for a short period of time at AXO. Good dude.

Hey how did you end up in your line of work anyways? Just made the right connections?

This movie started it all.

I just lost my KTM ride because, well...... I was slow and had two shoulder surgeries in 2000.

I went got a ride with Colorado Powersports and went into Motoworld of El Cajon to get some stuff before going riding and see my friends (as the first team I rode for) and saw a sign in the window that said "Be in a movie! $80 a day, send a picture of your bike, truck and gear (phone number)" I did and got a call from a production company. Told me to go to Barona Oaks, my local track I grew up on the following Monday.

I showed up and during the morning, I was an extra just pushing my bike around in the background and sitting on the tailgate of my truck. At lunch the stunt guys got to ride. I suited up and was told I wasn't allowed. The stunt coordinator, who knew my name from racing intervened and allowed me to ride. I was small and fast and right then the coordinator, producer and director came over and asked if I wanted my SAG card and to be a rider in the film.

That was the start.

I raced the following year. I got hurt at the Salt Lake SX. Broke my Tibia and Fibia. It was my 7th surgery in 5 years. The insurance from the SAG union (screen actors guild) payed for everything. Even the ambulance ride when the AMA told me that they only had a certain amount of money in the ambulance "kitty", and because so many got hurt that weekend I had to pay for my ride. This was after I was sent to collections and didn't even know I had a bill.

I was up to my ears in debt from racing and medical bills. I was riding with an organization that I felt turned there back when I got hurt ( a whole other story involving insurance from '99 when I was fully covered that is an amazing story) time and time again and I made more in a week working in stunts that I would have if I won a SX main event purse. Plus I had full benefits and retirement fund.

It was the hardest thing in my life, but from the frustration of it all, I quite racing professionally after seeing how a performer should be treated somewhere else.

It has taken a lot of hard work, connections and about 10 years to actually call it a career. However it was the best decision I ever made. I still get wrecked and the potential to get hurt is there everyday. But knowing I am rewarded well, have great insurance provided for my family for next to nothing makes it all worth it.
Always awesome reading your stuff Andy!

I bought it on Amazon, as a "watch on Amazon" type of deal; I know what you're saying, it was very difficult to locate the DVD!

I have always wondered the exact same...my guess was somewhere in canyon country (near Santa Clarita CA for those not in Southern California) but I could never get a definitive answer

I need as many pictures as possible of things from Motocrossed (The Disney Movie). Specifically Andy Carson stuff. I really want to find some good pictures of the fox gear he/she was wearing. Obviously the pictures don't have to be from the movie, just needs to be the same red and yellow fox gear. Other things like the AXO boots, custom painted helmet, and spy goggles would be great too! Even 2001 RM125 pictures would help. Thanks to anyone willing to help.

I saw you listed in the credits for the CHIPS movie. You know I kinda let out a little laugh during the park scene when that big BMW was really charging up the hill and had the back end step out. Looked like someone came close to eatin it there but recovered nicely and just kept motoring on up the hill. Good stuff!

I think the obvious name for a sequel is "Motocross Dresser Pt. 2" "Out of the closet"

The killer motorcross racing action and most of the riding shots were filmed at Barona Oaks out near Ramona California.

It's possible. It's definitely in CA, Probably in the inland empire or close to San Diego where they filmed the other track scenes. Either way I am dying to know

As long as I haven't had too many whiskeys, we are talking about the house that had the race track built on it....

That location is something that has seriously bothered me since I saw the movie as a kid. It was so sick...bitchn house with what looked like a sick track.

Regis would probably know, at least have an idea having crashed through the fence at that very location

Great, more money. Wink

Now I had to buy Moto X Kids (the monkey movie), and The Dirt Bike Kid.

My daughter was not wild about motocrossed, I think she's still too young. Right away, she was not into it. I tried to show her the girl doing gymnastics, saying "look, she can ride a dirt bike too!".

My daughter said "DAD! I like to RIDE dirt bikes, not WATCH them!!!"

Dang, I totally get that... I'll try again in a few months...

That house sure reminded me a lot of the Sable Ranch in Santa Clarita, California.

As for the movie....I've held it in the DVR for several years Smile It's my dirty little secret, but I loved that movie. I think a lot had to do owning a 2001 RM250 and boy there was a lot of Suzuki love in that film.

EDIT - I'm confused, the Sable Ranch is what I was reminded of in the movie Supercross.
