Two less thieves......

Also the dead thieves are not the victim, the minivan driver was.

Fucking thieves got what they deserved....

But lets get to the important facts here, them sprocket bolts were obviously torqued to spec. Wheel is fubar, yet the sprocket held fast and true. Well done sir.

This story doesn't have a fucking thing to do with the Dirt Bike. It's all about being raised to respect other people and their things. I know there just "things", but that is where it all starts. Be a good person, listen when your parents tell you not to take things that don't belong to you. Got a feeling that didn't happen!

So he is charged with "Reckless Endangerment" yet riding a stolen bike not legal for street use two-up with no safety gear whatsoever isn't reckless endangerment? Bizzaro world we live in..........

Ya gotta admit Squirtbro has a point about those finely torqued sprocket bolts.

i like the fact that when the police showed up he had the bike almost stuffed into the van. lmao.

also guessing he was chasing them and ran into the back of the bike (obvious rear wheel damage and van grill damage)...also guessing one of them probably fell off and got used for traction by the van and that is what brought us to this conclusion.

Haha it does look that way. Rim is crushed and folded over towards the sprocket. Deceiving perspective.

Did they go right out and grab a wheelie sprocket and chain in the 3 hours after they stole it?

While I agree with you in theory, in practice I do not.

Sure, I'm not going to die for my possessions. However, the thieves need to decide if it's worth risking THEIR life over. Do they really want to die for my possessions.

The way you are thinking about it is exactly why thieving criminals continue to rob and steal from people. Because they do not fear a reprisal.

Stealing from another man is wrong, regardless of what value you want to place on something. What's important to me may not be important to you. And vice versa. Whatever "possessions" you may easily be able to obtain I may have had to work my ass off to afford.

Just food for thought...
I get you. But my main point is that's why we have laws and authority in place to reprimand criminals.

Not every crime should equal a death penalty and it certainly shouldn't be up to the victim here to do decide or take action on whether they should live or not. If you caught a thief breaking into your trailer and going aftrr your bikes, you can't just walk up behind him and blow his brains out, regardless of how much of a scumbag he is.

I'm not disagreeing and I'm done talking in circles. Yes, the criminals put themselves in this situation and they should have to deal with the consequences. Just like how the dude that decided to run them over must now deal with the consequences that come from vehicular manslaughter.

It sucks for this guy because he probably didn't intend to kill the two theifs but unfortunately he made a bad choice. Unfortunately for him, two wrongs don't make a right.

I wonder how all you armchair ass kickers would feel if the owner of a store shot and killed one of your kids for shoplifting a candy bar....same exact concept, right?

Hold up now. The victim in the van was stressed and trying to keep a good line of sight on the criminals to inform the police at the safest point to not harm anyone in that heated moment. The bike thief suspects were riding erratic and were making sudden changes at will. When the victim got close, the suspects made a sudden stop causing the accident leaving two fatally wounded your Honor.

My client in a state of shock started to remove his property from a unfortunate situation, the police arrived and order was restored.

My God Blink I hate seeing stuff like that. Those triple clamps are destroyed and I imagine the forks themselves are in pretty bad shape/beyond repair. It's gonna need a wash like it's never seen before also...

So. What was his choice? Call police? They not going to chase them!!! Let them go with his bike? Did you ever get your bike stolen? All police did, ask me for Vin# in case my bikes show up somewhere. Go to the forest and still grizzle bear honey, when he kills you we will blame him,not you. Just trying to make a point .Fugitive is more protected than law obedient citizen and they know it. Sad!!!

Agreed.

Even if you want to go old school and do an eye for an eye, just go steal their cars or bang their wife/girlfriend/sister/mom.

lol. A child stealing a candy bar and an adult 'man' stealing a motorcycle are the 'same exact concept'?

Please...

I can honestly say that I would disagree with shooting a child for stealing a candy bar -- EVERY TIME.

I can also say, honestly, that this guy should walk(and that I believe backing up and running them over again should've earned him the key to the city).

Laughing Laughing Laughing it's not even apples to oranges.

The parents did a shit job, first and foremost, so that analogy doesn't hold a candle when discussing it with someone who actually teaches their kid the difference between right and wrong.

Second off, you are comparing a kid stealing a candy bar to two grown men stealing thousands of dollars worth of property only to ride on a public road endangering the lives of innocent people.

Keep the analogies coming snowflake, the butt hurt is real Woohoo
