I can't believe you're the first to mention Travis.

I think a healthy/committed TP199 might be GOAT.

'96 McGrath. '92 Bradshaw. '08 Stewart outdoor. I'd add Carmichael but he's stupid and so are his low rider bars

Roczen.. I'm pretty sure it was last years nationals. I've never seen anyone ride a dirt bike faster. Ofcourse Tomac is up there but shit even bagget on the 250s blew my mind at times as did Poto in 07-08. God, if I had to nail it down to 1 rider? Roczen last year... he was that damn fast

Herlings in Lierop in 2012. Lapped 3rd place. His fastest lap time was 6 seconds faster than everyone else and almost 10 seconds faster than everyone but one. I don't think we'll ever see someone dominate like that again. It was also in normal conditions, no mud, no rain and no riders crashing out.

Hard to bet against Bubba at his peak, JMB wouldn't be a bad choice either

2004 Ricky Carmichael on the Honda CRF450.

May be faster than anyone before, or since.

That was the single most dominant season in history. Led 362 of the 375 laps. Reed and Windham raced every round and his average margin of victory was over 20 seconds even with him usually taking the last few laps off.

I firmly believe that no one has ever ridden a dirt bike better or faster than James Stewart at his best. For one Moto, just one time, at his very best, I never saw anyone better.

Carmichael said the same thing in an interview you can find on youtube. He said "james is the fastest to ever throw a leg over a dirt bike and if he had just backed it down a little bit he would have won many more championships...but I dont think he cares."

That is a great list.
Also James playing at the local tracks loose and pinned was just mind blowing.
Rv and Townely battles were some of the best racing i have seen.
RC worked harder than anyone to win and did like no other. GOAT.
RV's rear wheel steer.
Good times.

I can't see how it's possible to list anyone other than RC.

If I had to put money down, I'd take JS7 for just 1 moto.

The championship battle I'd love to see was RV vs RC.
