I realized quickly on that my organs shake around a lot more and I get sick faster when I am sitting down too much.
Pit Row
Long trail rides where I would get too hot would also give me incredible nausea to the point that I had to pull over a couple of times to throw up.
I dont think it was to do with hydration as i'd always drink plenty of water but i put it down to plain old motion sickness from riding rough terrain for long periods.
The cure for me was ginger. I'd cut up some fresh ginger root the night before and let it soak in boiling water overnight, and put about 500mls of this in with my camel back. Never got sick on a ride again.
Later I found you can also get (in Australia anyway) ginger travel sickness tablets that work just as well without the hassle of needing to prepare a broth.
Give that a try and see how you go.
Drink some milk in the morning and right after you ride. Can help with recovery.
I wonder do you only get the cramps when riding ?
