Well Samantha, I mean, Christophe, I asked you for an interview during the PC days, we were back of the truck and you (who was making a sandwich) said no. Then when you had the stint at MCR I again asked and was told you weren't talking to anyone. You don't remember this?

Then about a year ago Tim Ferry texted me and asked why I never interview CP, I mean you, and I said I would be happy to. I guess my name had come up when you were riding with Ferry or something. It was relayed to me that it could only be done by email to which I refused because I don't do interviews that way. This was Timmy's text to me so he could have made it all up but I doubt it.

If CP, I mean you, don't want your words to be "changed" then I would say that doing an audio interview is the ONLY way your words cannot be changed.

The invitation to do a one on one podcast or on the Pulpmx Show is always there and I told Ferry that.

I've heard CP speak good English many, many times and if Ron-Ron, DV, AC222 can give me interviews and it sound perfectly fine, I know he can also.

It's tough for some people to accept they are wrong, and it's tough to do media for people who have no respect. Focusing for the weekend. Thanks to all who understand. ✌

I'm getting tired of your fragile ego. We admire 377, this is a forum for mx. Write a really good book or something if u are talented enough, then u can behave "weird" on a forum about authors. You behave like an 11 y o dick in school.

Sorry about the facts, just trying to straighten out the "Matthes has never asked for an interview" thing, that's all. Good luck in Canada, try the poutine.

Thanks for info CP and good luck for rest of serie in Canada.

Christophe is a class act; Matthes, not so much. The drama is entertaining, at least.

Rooting for the 377 all summer long, eh!

hey everybody, interesting stuff here ; )

no one from pulpmx or matthes has ever reached out or come by for a interview ever. we will see after this summer what i will do racing in the future, but i did announce my retirement from professional racing in supercross in the US. Bobby Hewitt quickly made all this racing in Canada possible for me as a transition into full retirement. the goal is not to find a factory ride in the US or GP at that level again. with my neck injuries i cannot continue racing US supercross at the highest level. i do all of my interviews and like to do them by email (i did one for JT a few years ago). so then no one can change what i say, it has happened many times to me before when my english wasn't that good. my wife takes care of a lot of stuff with my racing, media, sponsors, teams, so if its not on a race weekend she is the person to contact for me and she responds to everyone.

ps: racing in canada has been amazing for me

hope that helps

The evidence I see from this pissing contest is that being happy or proud that you might be right about other people being put out of job, especially people who won a lot but also took huge hits to be there, is lame.

Well now, this one took some real benders.

Hall of Fame bound, I'd say....

Dear Steve Matthes,

Do the interview in French. I'll volunteer Tim Tremblay as the interpreter.

Note: technically, should you know French?

Note: sent from Vancouver in-route to Prince George.

Steve is basically the "eh, it's what we got" in our small sport. We all know he's awful. We all know he's got no class. We all know about 99% of the riders can't stand him and don't respect him (most will put up with him just so they don't have to deal with this type of drama) and we all know he will soon say the wrong thing and will become completely irrelevant.

Here's what we know about CP. He's one of the fastest and smoothest riders in the world. He is better than 99% of the world at riding dirt bikes. Not many people can say they're better than 99% of the world at something. That's special and shows how good he is at his job. He's a guy that keeps to himself and doesn't cause drama. He's a guy that's been through horrific injuries but came back to win a bunch of races and continue to be one of the best riders in the world.

I love how Steve starts off by calling Christophe Samantha. Thats classic. Here's a guy (Steve) who probably has to take a breather halfway up two flights of stairs making fun of a guy who is a world class athlete and in tip top shape. Nice try Steve. Have fun getting roasted by some of motocrosses biggest fans because that's exactly what's going to happen. 98% of people here will stand behind CP.

C'mon you're always bashing without telling the "real deal". I asked you the question if you worked for GEPA because I know there went some things wrong, what can happen in a professional relationship if you ask me. But you don't answer the question. Or are you his ugly competition from VERSUZ the discotheque where he always went on Mondays to party after Grand Prix races. And did he score the nice girls and you the ugly ones? CP knows what I'm talking about haha VERSUZ days Tongue .

I interview him a few times on racedays, and never had one problem. Maybe its about the person who asks Kissing , isn't it Gibby . If you talk crap about someone you don't have to expect that they "own" you something. If you start rumors like he asks the world to ride factory Kawi so other teams aren't interested anymore, if you say that he's selling sponsorship gear to make a living but in fact he's just selling left overs like ALL riders do, you don't need to be surprised that he doesn't give a shit to talk with you. Did you try to talk with him in Lille? Pretty relaxed atmosphere there to talk with riders.
