Holy Smokes! 40 years of watching Supercross races and that is right up there with the best.

Congrats to Zach and also congrats to my pal Dave Feeny for "wrenching" Zach to the championship.

I'm not a JS17 fan at all and I would have love to seen Smith or AC get the title. But with what Osborne did to AC and then the move last night was not cool. A hard pass would have been fine but it looked like he just held it wide open into the turn. Like I said not a fan of either but not a fan of the pass. But the AMA is gutless and would not do anything about it either way in my opinion.

Hahahahahahahhahahaaha, classic!!!!! All the poor ladies who were woken up out of a deep sleep with ear piercing shrieks around the world.....hahahahahaaha. My chic did the same, she gave me a weird look and asked me if everything was alright...

Moments like this make up for all the boring boat races we often have to watch in Supercross/Motocross.

Was epic racing. Every rider out there would of done it or wished they did in that situation.

my voice is a little hoarse from both mains last night. i was definitely off the couch on several occasions including when JA21 stuffed reedy, who we all know, has a big green claw as a sponsor and would definitely have tried to shake things up.

for anyone complaining about what Ozzy did go listen to the post race press conference.... every single one of the guys up there said they would have done the same thing. it was one of the best moves for a championship i've ever seen. it was completely called for and JS17 should have NEVER left the door that wide open with zack-o coming in that fast.

Big boy class- i'm a Dungey fan (and to a very slightly lesser extent, a tomac fan as well) but absolutely was on the edge of my seat (and off it several times when tomac blocked RD1) cheering for both ET3 and RD1.... it was Tomac's only hope and, to me, showed that he is maturing and learning how to be an intelligent racer and soon a champ in his own right.

big congrats to both champs last night!

nights that exciting are what the sport needs to grow but it could certainly do with less bitching.

Would you say it was a majority of pure joy for the pass? Or would you say it was a heavily mixed reaction of joy and hate from both sides of the pass?

I feel like there's always the talk about just sending it for a title, whether that be riding at a ridiculous pace, or absolutely destroying someone in berm, or both... Zach just put together a ride for the ages, one that will be talked about for a very, very, long time.

He put up when it counted the most and made it happen. I think we all can applaud that kind of performance. I was off the couch long before the pass... so I just jumped and fist pumped! LOL

Same here... As I was freaking out I hear the bedroom door fly open "BLAKE!!!!! SERIOUSLY?!?!?!" followed by bedroom door slamming shut. My buddy and I just kept high fiving, practically speechless. This morning I made her watch all the highlights. Now, she understands. But at the time, not so much haha

Zach is a local boy around the Carolinas here and I've been watching him since he was on little bikes, so watching him reach this level is really special. Proud as hell!

Who else jumped off the couch and made a scene when Zach made the pass? That was just one of those very rare moments in life...

Thanks for that moment Zach, that was amazing. Congrats on the Championship, I'll never forget that ride.

Did ya hear the crowd in Vegas. Everytime he passed a rider the stadium errupted. We went nuts on the last lap.... the stadium was rocking.

Yeah I woke the house up! Fast approaching 6AM (in the UK) at the time.

Incredible ride, I mean really incredible, just stunning. No superlative is too strong.

For any Zach Osborne fan especially it made totally worth staying up for. I will never forget it.

I didn't think he had enough time to catch Joey.... and then here he comes. Zack comes in extremely hot full of adrenaline to win the championship and pulls off that insane block pass for all the marbles and speeds off to the checkers before Joey has even hit the dirt!

Yes, I yelled.

I was watching it at the pub with the missus. We were the only ones watching, the rest were watching horse races. We both yelled at the same time, turned around and the whole pub was staring at us

Ya, I was already standing up cause I could feel it building up plus all of the earlier carnage I just couldn't sit down. When Zach made the pass I was jumping up and down yelling. My wife was in the other room but could still see me. she just laughed at me.

That race was legendary.

The ride was awesome - last place plus about 10-20 seconds. Unbelievable. The pass was aggressive and i feel for Savatgy. But unfortunatley that is racing. If he was expecting the pass, it would not have been so messy, but unfortunatley Savatgy was a little asleep. He needed to go harder earlier in the race to secure things. He underestimated Osbourne.

That was THE most exciting thing I've seen in a while (prolly since James). My heart was pounding, I didn't think he'd do it. He was pushing so fucking hard for that, sack wanted that

Nope cheering and excitement for a phenomenal ride and text book block pass for a championship!

From my spot I didn't hear anything negative and the whole place was on its feet the entire race it seemed. I feel privileged to have been there in person I feel this was a ride on par with Bradshaw in 1989 Tampa where he went down twice and still won the race... it was that electric in the stadium.

Have never lost my shit like I did when he pulled that move. He's been "my guy" all season in Lites East and I was rooting for him for sure. So to see him hit the deck in the first corner had me bummed! Early in the main I didn't see him making moves too quickly, so figured it was all over. Then to see him within maybe a straight and a half of Savatgy with the laps quickly winding down I had a moment of excitement but figured there was no chance. But wow those last two laps! I still can't believe how much ground he made up so quickly.

What a legend. One of the great all time championship rides.
