Eli felt he deserved th3 championship given his speed and # of race wins this year, so of course he had no problem justifying some dirty riding. I guess I really can't blame him, but strategy or not, those were some petty and desperate moves....yesterdsy, in the pre-race press conference, he turned his nose up at dungey and the KTM teams' tactics pretty much saying how that was a bitch way to win the title. Then implied, in a very smug and condescending manner, that he would never compromise his 'competitive integrity' in such a way and that dungey should be losing sleep if he won the title by 3 points. Come on man, get real here. Cut to tonight's race and he pulls this shit...I guess he doesn't hold himself and his competitors to the same set of standards. Kinda made yourself look like a real big bitch tonight. Oh well, was a good season and a great last two rounds. Glad dungey won and tomacs time will come. Oh and the only sleep dungey is losing is to count his 1M championship bonus or to bang his hot ass wife.

I saw nothing wrong with what Eli did. He had no other choice if he wanted a chance to win the title. He could have definitely done more to Dungey (Osborne). Congrats to Dungey on his 4th.

You don't get it do you?
Eli needed to rattle Dungey to get this title, it was his absolute only shot.
It started with the comments at the press conference. "If the title comes down to 3 points then good luck sleeping on that"... This could force Dungey to ride a bit harder so it's not just 3 points (Maybe)?
Then the race you saw what happened. Any tip over late in the race would of lost the title for Dungey and Tomac looks like a genious for how he kept them bunched up.
It was a great race and credit to Dungey for pulling it off

See I don't understand how you can equate those two things. KTM essentially fixed the race results by having one rider pull over for the other. Eli did everything in his power to try and cause something to happen, besides actually punting Ryan, which he could have done several times. He just kept the the top riders riding close, which might I mention made things more difficult and stressful than just running away with the win. Eli could have pulled an Osboune, but I'm sure you're ok with what Zacko did aren't you? I'm ok with both. I've always thought Zack was an overly aggressive rider, borderline dirty, but this was the championship he did what he had to do. Just like Eli did what he had to do and Ryan did what he had to do, and even Jason did what he had to do, and Josh did what he had to do (which was get between Eli and Ryan). These were incredible races. We don't need to result to name calling ajd disrespecting a rider. Ryan said he is ok with what Eli did so why can't you be? Huge congrats to Ryan on his 4th championship, well deserved and hard fought. Definitely a season that will go down in the books.

How is that dirty. Whenever it happens with other riders y'all say rubbin is racing or some dumb shit! Eli could have easily taken him out because he was much faster and just playing with Dungey. He tried to do it clean and it didn't work. If you don't have respect for that than your blinded by emotions.

All of you guys on here woulda bitched that Eli should have taken out Ryan had he of just dropped the hammer and checked out by 10 seconds. What it comes down to is band wagoners. If you wanted Ryan to win, you're upset with how Eli rode. If you wanted Eli to win, you're upset with what Marv did last week. Why can't you guys just be happy that we witnessed one of the greatest races in history? Would you rather have check-outs and boring racing? Championship wrapped up rounds early? Just shut up and be happy with how amazing this season was!

I think Eli rode great and did exactly what he needed to minus getting more aggressive a la Osborne.

It sucks seeing the clearly faster guy throughout the season lose the championship. But Dungey is Mr Consistent so he deserves credit for that. But he's never been the fastest guy. Ever. He just doesn't mess up. He's a passive aggressive bitch in my opinion but he does what he has to to rack up the championships and nobody can fault him for that.

Congrats to both for a cracker season.
Dungeys Calvary? You consider Tomac, Grant and Reed Dungeys Calvary? The only one you can make an argument for is Anderson.

It was a great race to end a great series. Both teams tried using tactics to win the championship, which there is nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately for Tomac, Dungey won it. And Dungey didn't win because of tactics. Dungey won because of Tomacs 5 bad races this year. How can anyone blame anyone but Tomac for his early season struggles and last week's mental breakdown? What's Dungey supposed to Do? Throw a few races because Tomac didn't ride to his fullest potential or made a bunch of mistakes? Should Dungey have just sat out of Vegas because maybe it would have made you feel better?

I never liked rear view mirror racing.. understand the whole business side of it all..

Great races to watch, they're just getting too much like pro wrestling.

It was his only option to make up the points ,I wanted Dungey to win but a true fan can understand the tactics of last night's race.

I'd say you are at least 50% right. These guys are not racing. They are trying to win a championship, and it sucks for people that like races.

I mean if you want to talk about race manipulation here....Eli did not race forward or ride to his full potential....

I see nothing wrong with what Eli did, I would have done the same. His speech at the press conference sure makes him look like liar...

I got respect for Dungey, he always stays true. After the first pass I thought surely Dungey won't let that happen again but nope 3 times and he kept it perfectly clean. I would have went full Osborne the first chance given the circumstances. Congratulations Dungey for staying true and still getting it done again.

Tomac and Roczen are faster. Villopoto was faster. Stewart, well that's easy. Dungey has never been the fastest guy in the class. He's just consistent. And he's a tool. Always has been. But he gets it done. Shit, Reed was faster in his prime and I hate that guy.
5/7/2017 6:44am
It's unreal how many people here are faulting a guy for trying to win a championship by trying to slow down a pace, Christ he did it in the cleanest way possible. Eli did all he could short of deliberately cleaning out the Dunge and hurting him.

God help any of you if you ever watched SX in the 90's. Y'all who are upset with this are softer than baby shit.

Do you have proof of this?

Pit sign maybe? Audio captured over the KTM airwaves?

Perhaps your guy on the set of the Moon landing in Nevada has some secret documents?

I mean, you may have point, as Marvin has NEVER been known to fade and make mistakes at the end of a race.

He's always been a crybaby. He's always been passive aggressive and whiney about stuff. But the fanboys ignore it. Crying about Reed this year because he was too slow to pass him after starting shit in the first place after the moto. It goes back to how he handled things with Jlaw (who was faster than him too). I've never liked how he handles things and comes off as an entitled prick. But that's my opinion. I just don't like his personality.

Everyone is making good points but it still isn't right to keep taking him high so he would fall back and maybe even fall. Congrats to dungey for pulling it off. That was some exciting shit. I'm going to watch again and see how I feel. Best night of racing in a long time maybe ever.

Tomac should of put Dungey in the cheap seats, but he kept it classy, because he is a class act and knows he is faster and had more wins than Dungey this season. He is the real Champion and Dungey knows it. Now Dungey will retire because he is scared to go as fast as Tomac and Dungey just needs to go home now. Dungey is done folks.
Facts don't care about your feelings, and the facts are that the "real Champion" is the rider with the most points at the end of the series. Go cry somewhere else.
