Might snag this from a guy cheap.

It's pretty fresh, and I'm getting a replica Emig helmet getting painted right now too. I found an oversized brake for her, and replacement parts. i don't remember much talk about how amazing Kawi's were back then, but for $1200 I think she's worth it regardless.

Hahah, yeah the photo helpsLaughing Im born in 99, and never experienced these bikes. But that bike looks very good for a 97! For only 1200$ i think it is worth it. Especially if the bike means something to you, if you have had one or you dad maybe has had one. I dont know.. but yeah it looks like its worth it. Smile

If you are looking for a 97 KX, that one seems like a no brainer.

The 97 was an amazing bike. I loved mine when I had it. Great mid range motor. Super stable chassis. I would buy that in a heart beat for $1200!

That's a steal! Those are damn good bikes too. I bought a new one in 97 raced it two seasons. It was one of the magazines bike of the year that year. My dad bought it off of me to help fund my new bike in 99' he rode it 2 more years and sold it to my college roommate/mechanic at the time who still has it and occasionally rides it to this day. Don't think twice about it!

I'm a huge Emig fan, so the helmet and this sounds good. I feel like a crackhead waiting to ride. Since I sold my 16 450 I've been nerding out about 1200 old school shit. gonna see how it goes

That looks pretty immaculate for its year. Won the shootouts for that year. Lengthened the swingarm that year and it helped the handling a bunch. Excellent suspension and great engine. Looks a no brainer that buy.

Put a '98 swingarm on it if you buy it. You can thank me later.

Edit: Never mind, the '96 had the shitty swingarm.

I wonder why its so cheap? Heck, it looks brand new. 1200 is a steal, but you could always offer 1000 and see what he says.

Looks mint. I'd buy it. Can never have too many 250 two strokes.

One of the best years i ever had racing. little slower than the 96cr250, but it handled way better for me. All my problem areas, got fixed with that bike, but my starts did suck..lol
