Red plate does not equal championship. It indicates the current points leader.

Dungey and Tomac are both currently tied for the points lead. Two red plates next weekend. It's happened plenty of times in the past.

I thought the same thing as they talked about that on the broadcast last night. They mentioned the tie, but Tomac's win number was the tie breaker. So, I thought they were talking about the red plate situation and thought Tomac would be the only one running the red plate next week. But, they will both run it.

Thats what I took from the broadcast last night. I know we've seen 2 red plates but its usually at the 3rd round where they're tied on wins.

Tomac will have the red plate due to more wins. Same way the championship works in case of a tie.

Rule book has been posted earlier. In case of a tie, both riders get the red plate. Tie breakers are only applied at the end of the season.
