They were talking about AC shopping for a 450 ride for 2018. With his current state in the 250 class, do you think any 450 teams are going to even consider giving him a ride? I think he should stay in the 250s for another year or 2.

I'm pretty sure AC wants to stay 250's next year. I don't know why they were saying that, I think his contract is up at the end of the year so maybe that's why but I think he stays right where he's at.

I think he feels big for a 250 but the the 450 class is much tougher...be interesting to see how he does

He has literally completed one full SX season on the 250 as of right now. No way is he ready to move up.

I remember awhile back hearing him say he had no plans to move up to a 450 anytime soon

Only time he said anything about riding a 450 was when he was being a troll in a TWMX interview before A1 last year saying he was going to do 450W rounds.

I would sign him for the Grand Prix'. He has good value for sponsorships, but he can't make the money here then what he makes in the US. (at the moment)

Yes, AC and 450's, yes please

Seriously doubt it. He sure as hell could have used one last night, though. I was sitting right by that dragon back section and he just could not get over that first one worth a damn.

I'll get flamed for this, but I feel for how fragile and made of glass the dude is, he'd get eaten alive in the 450 class.......just my opinion.

Even though he's clearly too big for a 250 now, I think it would be a mistake, similar to what happened to Wilson. I'd really like to see him get some consistency going all the way through the nats.

I think he should stay on a 250 for another year, at least in sx. Get mitch to sign him to a 250sx and 450 mx deal similar to what rattray did in 2012 and wilson did in 2013. Although if savagty and hill both win titles this year in sx theyre going to have to move up, so mitch will have to look for 2 good replacements. Mitch shouldve signed ferrandis when he had the chance.

I Chad Reed should trade with AC and Chad can ride this

The only way I could see him racing 450s any time soon is if he races 250 east and a few 450 races next sx season but even then I doubt it. He's not ready.

I say stay on a 250. Stay healthy. And I think he needs to season himself a couple more years. Don't want to jump to the big boys too early and not be able to contend. Just don't turn into Davalos

But the kicker is his height. Hes like 6'1-6'2 and everyone hes racing is 5'6. Its a disadvantage being taller on a 250. I would know, im 6'4"

Bro. A 450 is not a physically bigger bike, they're just heavier, and it's not like AC has filled out into some muscle bound dude.

J-Mart got 2nd at Daytona. Would you fools shut up and let him try the 450 class first? He could surprise people just like Jeremy.

He could... but he is nowhere near as accomplished as J-Mart, or as seasoned. Once you get to the 450s if you don't kill it you're on RockRiver or MCR wandering what the fuck happened.

There is no rush.

Wilson's career took a left turn when he started spending his offseasons in Florida. It had nothing to do with riding a 450.

I dont know anything about AC's personal situation, but I always worried how things would play out for a kid as sheltered as he was. His parents kept him on a tight leash. Often these kids are a disaster the moment they're not under their parent's close watch and you throw money & free time (especially due to injury and the resulting depression) into the equation.

I always thought AC seemed to be a really smart kid that would keep his nose clean. And for all I know he has. Injuries are a motherfucker. Some are REALLY good at hiding their demons tho. Talent like AC's doesnt just evaporate for no reason.

But again, I know absolutely NOTHING about AC's personal situation and I am NOT implying anything. Just noting some red flags that COULD explain the disappointing career he's had. Im making no assumptions at all. I wish I knew the backstory though.

why does everyone say he's too big for a 250? It's the same size as a 450 and Adam can't weight more than a 170lbs, probably less.

I'd like to see him have one more full season on a 250, finish healthy on top, then move to 450's.

Big for 250's? Come on, he's probably 160 in full gear and soaking wet and long legs are an advantage in some places.
On the other hand, Marvin is really slim too, but manages to handle the 450 more than fine.

He bas another year on his current contract.

I say he is back on the PC 250 next year... If you listen to his interview a few months back on Pulp someone said he was going to point out this year and he was shocked, turns out they were wrong but I remember him saying "I have to wrap my head around that."
