Did you watch the race? Have you seen the previous rounds?

You should know why the results have been shite if you answer yes to those both questions.

Just look at Maggiora MXdN. That was the real healthy Herlings.

Stupid statement when he's battling with a badly broken hand a week before Qatar!
He will come good once healed up!

That's right. Above all, I'm here for the ads.

If you guys don't already know, there's a tv program on most Saturdays that shows twitter pics sent in by fans and a cool Tacoma pickup build for disabled veterans. And, WOW! - the commercials are something else! There's just some dirt bike racing to fill the voids between those awesome segments but you can dvr it and run right through that stuff...

Definitely a lot of time for him to get healthy and reel off some wins, no one's out of it yet. Remember 2015? The guy who the title was barely in the top 5 at the beginning of the season and got much better.

I haven't watched the race yet, I'm going off something I read on the race thread supposedly said by the head cheerleader.

"Malin on Herlings, very interesting! Herlings just not fast enough, his own words..nothing to do with the hand."

If that wasn't said I apologize.

You seen the pics of his wrist? Still putting in some impressive rides if you ask me...

I think once he is way out of the title hunt he will takes some rounds out to heal up and come back nearer the end of the season

No. Yours? I was being sarcastic.

Where did all the experts go that said Tomac had nothing in SX after the first three rounds?

My opinion post from the race thread.

In my opinion Jeffrey is doing what he has failed to do in the past and thats salvage points when injured. He's made good progress from Qatar but to me he looks to be still riding injured. For sure the right move is to tell the press that he's not quick enough so that when he is fully fit and isn't quite on the pace he doesn't look so cocky.

Very mature stuff from Jeffrey in previous years he would have been balls out and telling everyone he's going to win by 30secs and end up crashing out of the season. This season he is doing what Cairoli did in 2015 and 2016. Smart move

Herlings isn't making any excuses but it's obvious that he's not 100%. I don't really understand anyone who thinks that this is just where Herlings is, because he's already shown that he is better than this on a 450. I think the words Malin used at the end of the MXGP race were something along the lines of it being tougher than he thought to come in with the injury, and that he's trying to play catch up and ride his way through it

He is always battling with a broken something.

I used to dislike the guy, but I am now rooting for him. Can't wait until he's 100% healthy, I honestly think he's the only one who can keep gajser honest. gajser was on cruise control today and still easily went 1-1

The dude has a broken hand and still runs in the top 10. I'd say he's doing alright...

Atleast experts have the broken hand as a valid excuse for being stupid. You have none.

He is injured..

You guys seems to forget what he is capable of doing on a 450 when he is healthy. Remember MXON 2016? His first race on a 450 and he gapped cairoli and everyone else easy in the last moto. Just wait and see.

I don't think he expected to win. I think he was just expecting to be better, which he was, second moto especially he wasn't very far off at all

You a prick starting this thread...watch mxon again of last year. He's dealing with an injury...on dutch tv the belgium former gp rider joel roelants said, he saw herlings on some parts on the track, that if he's 100% again, he thinks JH will be the fastest of the field.

I can't wait to see him fully fit, i don't expect him to run away with wins like mx2 ( perhaps sand tracks).
Looking forward to some great battles, but still stand by him exploding under pressure ( which he is going to get a LOT of!)
He just gets over excited, how did he do his hand? Oh yes, passing Gasjer and Cairoli just in front of him!!

Seemed to deal with the pressure of Cairoli on his back wheel in front of 50,000 screaming Italians pretty well. People crash, it doesn't mean they can't handle pressure, how many times did Gajser crash last year? A fair few

Yeah true, but i believe sometimes it gets in Herlings head more than others, like he is so convinced he should smash the opposition.
In a interview before he done his hand he was saying Cairoli only won the first pre season so easily because it was his backyard and wait until he gets to the other tracks. He almost put himself in a no lose position pressure.
As for Gasjer, his riding scares the crap out of me also, some of the risks he's willing to take, but that's why they are champions!

Good point about Gajser, and yet he still won the championship in his rookie year in MX1

Actually he gave an interview a week Before Argentina in which he said he expected a win to be out of the question, but to battle for a podium and be disappointed to be outside top 5.

As for the OP and "where did all the experts go": you can have a fair discussion on if Herlings will ever dominate this class or even win the title. But anyone thinking that this is the max Herlings is capable of (a 13-7 finish in motos he didn't crash) has either never seen Herlings ride before or is just trolling.

Failed to do in the past.... The guy broke his femur, and still attempted to ride with it broken. You can't ride with some broken bones!

OP needs a quick ban for this one...
