Not 100% sure on this but I think they had a talk with him. By they I mean the AMA/Feld.

Could be wrong.

Wonder why he didn't ride the timed practice?

The side show has ran it's course. He needs to quit while he is ahead and not hurt. I can't understand how the ama can't sit and watch some of these riders spode out in practice. It's a professional race and not a chance for a 43 year old to try his hand at it.

He's here. Must be improving some. Hit both triples and the finish line jump. I remember reading some saying he wasn't in the past

He had a 1:00 fast time in the last practice. Much better than he's been doing.

We've got to give credit where credit is due, his fast time was 1:00.054. Within about 6-7 seconds of making the night show. That's certainly a huge improvement.

Good for him, would be pretty cool to see him actually make the night show. That lap time would be no joke, within 14 seconds of the best in the world, I could never dream of doing that haha.

I have to admit, based on what I've heard, I thought he would be rolling most of the jumps, but he jumped both of the triples and blitzed about half of the whoops. Doubled through the rhythm sections. Not bad.

I'm a little at a loss as to why he hasn't switched to a 4 stroke. He's proven a 2 stroke isn't competitive in SX, from what I've seen he's as good of a rider as a few out there. He might actually make the night show on a 4 stroke. By the way, I love 2 strokes but you have to be real.

He has improved at every round, and is getting better. Oh he rides a 2 stroke too, which is a disadvantage, but it got him to the races.

He's not the rider to determine if 2 strokes can no longer be competitive as he's clearly not even remotely in the same league as the top 20 (or even 40) guys. Would like to see someone whos consistently made the mains come out on a smoker and see what happens. Not a 43 year old vet guy who the large majority of people feel shouldn't be racing pro SX period.

Take any top 15 guy and move them back five spots......that would be my guess.

You can run 20 seconds off the next slowest pace but when you improve and close the gap they can you?? Sheesh.

Because nobody would be talking about him. Riding a 2-stroke seems to be a cheap way to get some exposure nowadays.

If he was jumping the triples and doubling through the rhythm sections then that is a huge improvement from how he was riding in Oakland, although we did get s little rain during his practice do that could have played a factor. If he's really improved that much then congrats to him, I would kill to have the chance to give that a shot one day and he's out there doing it every week.

something people dont fully realize is that riders tend to go the same speed regardless of the bike they are on. he might do better on a 450. He mentioned the hard part is figuring out his timing and going froma 4 to a 2, the approach to a track is a little different.

for puplicity, i would think some guys should try out racing a 250 more often. Reality is it generates a TON of interest and could help in drumming up sponsors. it is a bit of a freak show, but people pay to see freaks.

Exactly. If Husky would put Stank Dog in the semi...his autograph line would be longer than Ozzy or Anderson. Even if he could not qualify.
