I can understand and appreciate that completely.

However, isn't it strange that he doesn't make public appearances, talk to the media and I have no clue about his social media. It's as though he has just disconnected from the sport. He has his own brand he can market, RedBull probably would like some exposure unless he got clipped. It's all a little strange.

He can do what he wants but would love to hear from him someday and open up, it will be great.

I've traveled to Canada many times with a motorsports rig and you literally need a import/export department to get through the border..commercial invoices, brokers, complete inventory of every nut and bolt with values....in addition to the cost ..and the border agents treat you like you're smuggling refugees..

This is just a thought. I say without JS7 racing seVen doesn't last 2 years. The longer he keeps up the illusion that he is going to come back the longer they can keep seVen going and possibly sell it. I may be putting too much thought into it, and I may be giving them too much credit for being devious. Like I said, it's just a thought.

Bubba is DONE! No way he ever shows up at Daytona as his first race out of the box in a while. We have seen the last of Bubba on a gate.

It does surprise me, with the Seven Brand though that he is not at the races promoting his company. That is very weird. And the fact he is not out there doing that, makes you wonder what is going on in his life.

I would be the farm, he is done racing.

Personally I'm not really bothered if he races or not, since I'm not a fan and don't believe he'd be competitive any more so it would just take exposure away from the top guys who deserve it and have a circus feel to it.

Of course if he wants to that's up to him, but I'd have thought it would be good to let his fans know what his plans are either way so they can plan which races to attend etc. His fans have certainly been loyal to him through the drugs ban etc. so I'd have thought he might want to repay some of that support.

I would bet he does not even show up at Daytona, and he lives an hour away.

Well this thread is 15 hours old...better make a new on /s

Hopefully he comes back but the lack of any news gives it a 0% chance.

Think that'll work to get James a factory kawi ride?

Is he still a RedBull Athlete?

JLAW! Lol! Remember years ago he got off the couch , came to Daytona and got drunk. Woke up and lead until Reed passed him .
I doubt it but it would be hilarious.

Has anybody actually seen James in a while? Any pics of the shape he's in or riding pics at all? Slim (pun intended) chances, but I'd love to hear that he has been training his ass off low key and looking to make a debut soon. I know it may be way out in left field, but it would be rad to see him line up again in race shape physically AND mentally.

What makes you think he could win right now? When was the last time he won a race? 4 years ago or something? Stop being delusional. In no world could James win Daytona sx unless it was the KTM junior challenge. Seriously, Carmichael could beat James this weekend. He would probably need an IV at the end of the race but at least he would finish.

Off the couch with no real training and win? No. If he had the right bike, and everything was clicking...even if he wasn't in race shape, he could still put on a show. That's really what the fans (including me) would like...just to see him throw it down for a couple of laps at Bubba-speed, just to show everybody he's still James Stewart. Then, if he feels so inclined...walk away into retirement.

Refer to my comment above. I hope his child has done one of two things. Lit a fire under him to put in the proper effort to come back OR ride off into the sunset of retirement. He doesn't owe anybody anything, but it would be nice like someone mentioned earlier to let his fans know, because I'm sure people would make travel arrangements to see him throw a leg over. Nobody to my knowledge has seen pics of him recently on social media or anything. I hope he's ripped and training!

Only way James can play this:

James shows up on a KTM 250sx. Makes the night show. Main event he gets a good start, top 10 and fades out for an 18th. Still comes out a winner even though didn't crack the top 15. Entire internet melts down hearing the sweet sound of Bubba winding a two stroke like it was 2003.

Give the fans what they want James. Do the above, and you cannot go wrong. We all win.

I am a huge fan of James and everything he has done for the style of the sport.

That said, he isn't coming back. He didn't show up to his own gear launch. Didn't show up to RedBull Straight Rhythm. We haven't seen any shots of him or him on a bike. Not a chance. Sucks.

Like I said not saying they would Agnes. Maybe u should take middle school reading comprehension class. It's clearly hypothetical. Rv2 didn't even podium in Australia, against the likes of Reed and Brayton. So obviously James probably can't. But again, punchers chance. Say Daytona is a mudder for example. Pretty much anyone in the main could win at that point. See Daytona 1987 for reference.
