through the very last left hand turn (right side of the picture)
Make it the longest start straight in the history of Supercross...
They would jump through two left hand turns and all the way
to the very last left hand turn of the right side of the track....

Not sure if I'm understanding what you're saying, but that seems like A LOT of flat straight-a-way. Where would the rest of the track go?

22 riders enter the first turn going 1,493,521 MPH (approximately). What could go wrong?

Sounds like you just described a nascar race. Go straight, then turn left. Go straight again, then turn left.

Go straight through the first two left handed berms... continue going straight
until the very last left handed turn (very right side of the track layout).
Lot better then going into a very quick left handed turn and back across
the start straight where someone might of gone down (Blake Baggett)
comes to mind.

Mechanics could just swap the front sprocket with the rear one. Like someone else said, what could go wrong?

We have a race that starts like that in the UK....

Looks like a good idea, have the Daytona race on the beach and sort the job out properly with an extra 700-800 riders thrown in for good measure Evil

Ah, the Weston Beach Race. Terrifying going along that straight at 90mph and having to put your visor down to avoid the spray. Some good videos of this madness on YouTube for those that haven't seen it before.

OP's idea is ridiculous but anyone remember a few years back they had the same start at Daytona? Anybody got a clip of the riders colliding on the parade lap?

I like his idea... It's a lot of straight, but not flat! If that's a wall at the finish line they'll slow down!

The current plan has some issues. Ex: don't get stuck in gate for more than a few seconds!

Wasn't that the race that Jlaw cut the first turn and ended up leading 18 laps or so?

You should try to sell that idea to an energy drink company.

I'd like to see a race with a 10 foot drop straight in to a set of whoops all the way down the start straight. That should help separate the pack.

Yes but if the 22 gets the Holeshot, he would crash at the end of said whoops, thus taking out the whole field...

I kid, I kid. I really hope he can get his 45th. Keep it on 2 wheels Chad!

Could fill the whole section with sand or just leave it and start on the tarmac.

I'm thinking they should put jump around the entire nascar track and do one lap

Im not sure if these other guys are just fucking with you or really didnt get what you were saying. It makes sense to me, instead of doing the circle in front of the start and coming back across the start straight, they could head down the right side of the track, couple rollers, hit that small triple, then go through or over where the two left handers almost connect, then there looks to be a table or wall, then the woop section, then the slight left, then the right hand then the far 180 at the end. Its really no different at all from what they will be doing each lap except for jumping over where those two left handers almost come together.

Lol actually that is crazy so i like it. Issue: knots will fly in this straight!

Alternative: after a week at the Kdub training facility, no need to change the track much. Just take the start, those on the left transfer into the 4 big whoops, those on the right land on the triple (bottom left), those at the middle go for the table (landing to be adjusted).
