Same physics engine as MX vs ATV.

Here is a job posting from Rainbow showing that.

That said, I think MXGP should improve. I don't know what they were using before but Unreal is pretty solid and used by a lot of games.

Theres something about MXGP 2 that never clicked with me. I absolutely loved MXGP 1, I flew on that game. I won more often than not... not the case with MXGP 2. I get caught and gapped regularly... I just never figured it out. Hopefully MXGP 3 is a bit more playable for me. Im stoked for the new game.

Only things I dislike about MXGP 2 are the engine noises (which currently sound more like mopeds than dirt bikes), the unrealistic gravity (we're on the moon!), and scrub controls (just let us lean the bike over instead of a button combination).

I'll try and help you understand why they don't do it for the current season.

This game is released in Spring 2017. The first time theyll be able to see all of the new bikes with all the teams etc for them to photograph and 3D scan will be at Round 1 of World Championship. Giving them 2 weeks to build half the game and get it in stores for release???

I know MX Sim 1st person view looks good and has great physics, but all that video shows is wank graphics and the physics look seriously shit. Maybe it needed some better riders to show it off more.

All this game is going to be is a cash cow for youthstream just like the mxgp is itself,same game just updated. They dont care about the quality of the game all they care about is lining their pockets!

being on the unreal engine, they definitely may hopefully were able to free up the bike.

From my understanding even from playing the games... people want complete manual control of the bikes... and that's what has been messing up the games

reflex/ had complete control over the bike...
mx/ wayy stupid difficult, but complete control of the bike

That is a crux of what the people want. and would be my major gripe with mx vs atv supercross.. (but this isnt the thread for that)

I for one is looking forward to this, as i believe the unreal engine will allow for greater control and a better overall feel... should be a fun game... hopefully it will be fun enough to sustain an online community.. because that is a major issue to the longevity of any racing game.

Mx vs atv supercross - on console is doing great with the online community because of that supercross tracks release.

mx sim - is fucking dead everynight

mxgp 2 -/ pc/console fucking dead online

so please sweet baby jesus let this be a good game lol

as others-- fix sound,get off the moon(looks like snails humping in space)should feel the speed.it is racingWhistling ,air physics.realistic starts.
I will rent before I buy.usually you can just watch a clip and tell if its fixed. never liked 1st person racers. looks and feels better to me to see it all.

Sticking to MX Sim. Been playing it for 6 years now with a controller and I still learn something new everyday. It's the game that keeps on giving.

If the game had default settings for Xbox controller or PS controller, it would be leaps and bounds better.

Having to setup a well known controller is crazy. This isn't 1990's pc gaming.

I'm not sure what you mean. I use an xbox 360 wireless controller. It's very easy to change the settings, and I can do everything. Took me ~15 seconds to setup.

Thanks for that scientific explanation. It can be done though. If people can mod the new bikes on pc, they could do it too. At least let you change the order of tracks in career mode. And let some of the riders move up in class

I bought it years ago and was drove crazy by the lack of clear operating instructions, most of the time the bikes and tracks you loaded weren't there or were missing somthing, you always needs this file or that file and no where was there a place that exactly explained how to install the game. It's been years can you load the game and grab tracks and bikes now without using and enigma machine? The stock easy tracks were the most fun the SX was so damn hard it was stupid.
