Did you forget Reed caught Weston at A1 and ended up with a DNF thanks to an over aggressive pass attempt? Is the sky blue in the imaginary world you live in?

Dude , don't get me wrong. I fuggin' dig Chad ,and his skill set is one of the best on the track. He may even be a tad faster than Weston right now , but then again who knows? I think each track will let them decide who is the faster guy that night. My reply was more towards the guy saying " Chad has way more talent than Weston. " I know full well Chad is super talented , but speed on the race track , he is not head and shoulders above Weston. If they both stay healthy this entire season , you'll see what I'm talking about. BTW....I didn't see the contact between Weston and Chad , so I can't comment on how everything went down.
Matthes said that Chad told him he hit Peick harder than he's ever hit anyone and Peick didn't move. So I think it was a pretty hefty collision, probably born out of Reed's frustration at not being able to pass him

I thought Peicks interview was awesome and he gained me as a fan after that! Freise rides like an idiot and Weston is just saying it how it is. All good to be aggressive and fight for each spot but don't be cross jumping dudes. Just ask JT$ or any number of pro riders who think Vince's racecraft is dangerous.

I don't care much for either rider. Friese races like a complete idiot and Pieck acts like a complete douche. So when they get together I vicariously sit on the edge of my seat. To me, that is the only social redeeming quality either of the possess.

If you take to watching Friese on the track I don't think his riding is as "squirly" as people make out. I genuinely think a lot of riders and fans have hopped on the "his a shit, asshole rider" because of the run ins his had with people and it's fun to have another Mike Alessi. If you watch him he has a relatively smooth style and obviously I've never been on the track with the guy but on TV he certainly doesn't look all over the place. I also feel like everyone's talked up Peick's big tough guy persona that he feels the need to cuss a lot and have animosity with any rider that he remotely gets in a battle with, seems like a good guy for the most part though. I don't really side with either two but it gets tedious when a rider who's clearly not shit gets called shit because his the "bad guy".
Your right, I just watched the semi.. it wasn't too bad. He crossed over slightly in one section but it's simply racing.. Obviously Peick will see it differently because of who it is.. he was pretty respectful to Reed and he T boned him lol

I'm not usually one for all the drama and BS, but this is real, organic hate. If nothing else, it makes watching the battle for 8th a lot more interesting, that's for sure.

I'm all for raw emotion and story lines. I don't understand why it offends beta males when one man wants to kick another man's ass and is vocal about it. I've seen a picture of one of them with eye-liner and it wasn't Lou's kid.

So Weston threatens to break another riders leg (or mentions it)...now what happens if they get together and Vince has a season/career ending injury. Not very smart on Weston's part....

Here's how I look at it, Weston held his composure on the track and qualified then got top 10 in the main.

Sure he blew off steam in the pits with his rant but no harm was done except people who need a safe space.

Peick didn't hold his composure on the track, it took him forever to not pass him. If passing a 15th place rider puts you in that kind of place.......you have some big problems. Lots of guys had to pass Friese, Peicks the only one that got unhinged.

While I was definitely amused he threw blows, that is definitely not beating the fuck out of someone. He landed half-ass blows to neck/around helmet. If he successfully beat down Vince then I don't think Vince could have got back on his dirt cycle. I think laying on the ground, possibly concussed, is getting a beating (imo).

If Peick doesn't want to deal with Friese...then he should get out front and stay faster.

This sentence pretty much sums it all up.

Seems to me that Peick is just butt hurt because he realizes that Friese is faster than he is...or at least he was at A1.

If I were JGR, I'd have tossed Peick a while back. Dean Wilson would be a much better investment than WP.

Yea, the degree of beating was pretty weak, relative to a Dairy Queen parking lot on Jersey.

Peicks kind of refreshing if you ask me. Heaven forbid we have a guy who talks like 90% of all the guys I know and race with. Yeah he swears, yeah he blurts out shit without thinking, oh well. Doesn't really bother me. And like someone else said it's not like he said that stuff during a live interview inside the stadium. Does his PR game need work ? Absolutely but he'll figure it out.

Peick needs to race with emotion but don't race emotionally.

I was wondering what was up with Peick yapping at Friese after that race, I didn't see anything bad (from tv mind you). It looked like Peick was bitching to him from frustration out of not being able to pass him.
In person it is painfully obvious Friese rides a wide back and looks behind him and not in front of him. I was very impressed with the patience Peick displayed but at the same time Friese just plain blocked him (and many others). I'm not sure where this racing mentality comes from (I can only speculate and guess) but if Friese can't figure this out we are all witnessing the best he will ever be.

Funny thing about that whole "Peick is just butt hurt because he realizes that Friese is faster than he is" line....
Facts disagree with your "assessment" both in results and lap times.

Peick finished 8th, Dean 15th and Friese 17th and #32 turned faster laps than both of them.

I don't see how anyone can make even half a case for Friese being faster than Peick

Friese has said himself that he doesn't mind, and expects people to race him the same way he races him, he takes what he deals and I can get behind that, I'm not a huge peick fan. It's not that I don't like him, I actually liked him as a privateer but he seems to have let the factory rides go to his head. Besides if he's really that much better than Vince as some of you think, why didn't he blow past him anyway?
But he gets a good start and never has to pass anyone so cross jumping him really isn't possible.

Matthes: "The semi race, we thought we were going to see another... some aggressive racing."

Peick: "...Yeah, you know, the semi was ridiculous. Like, I got a bad start, caught my way up, made multiple passes, and then I got behind Friese and he just starts looking back, sees me, fucking idiot's cross jumping me left and right, like, almost cleaning us both out and then the last turn before the finish line, I could have fuckin just snapped his femur, but I was like, you know, it's..."

Peick: "Yeah, I just, I figured I have to race with the piece of shit all season, so I was like, you know, I'm not gonna start this off at A1, and, and start it off on a bad foot. So, I just had some words with him after, telling him that he's an idiot rider and he doesn't know how to keep a straight line. So, it is what it is, and we finished A1 actually racing and not sitting on the sidelines, so...

What do you think about the animosity between Peick and Friese? Whose side do you take? How does it make you feel?

I understand some peeps like his MMA/meathead attitude but his comments right here is why I would have never spent $ on Peick. First of all, stuck behind Friese? with the money JGR spends on him? On a Factory Suzuki?! For real?

Even at the pick of the fight between Stanton/JMB and Bradshaw or Bradshaw and Matiasevich or Chad and JS7, never they spoke like that in the media, even Hannah who's was not one to hold his opinion would have said stuff like that in public. Those guys were smart enought.

Pretty sad that he believes that he'll be racing Friese all season, not sure JGR and Suzuki are expecting that.

jeffro503 wrote:
Actually Hannah said exactly that , but worse! He said he tried to break Howerton's leg. Among a bunch of other stuff throughout the years.
Hannah won races. Hannah ran his mouth. As much as you have to respect him people seem to know him by his attitude rather than his race wins. Bob Hanna wasn't the model of a how to be a professional racer...and WP is just a douche...proves it over and over.

Too bad there is blood in the jgr water because Malcom wouldn't be chilling behind VF

I don't mind the drama element between Weston and Vince. Yeah, maybe Weston should be more professional with his words. On the same note, maybe Vince should ride a little more professional. The fault can be shared.

If anything it makes it more exciting. Just my .02.
