Ralph is good at what he does, if he wasn't he wouldn't be doing it for so long.
There have been more a few. Can we have somebody new ?
Ralph aint Dave DeSpain. Or Larry Huffman or even Larry Maiers.
My only complaint isn't with the announcing team, it's with Feld/Monster not letting them acknowledge that there is an outdoor series. It might help the casual viewer understand that Kenny's riding this wave of confidence because he wrecked shop in the outdoors if Ralph and Jeff were actually allowed to talk about it.
From an announcing standpoint, the best race of the year is Daytona, because they don't seem to have as many restrictions since it's not a Feld/Monster race.
It's a lot easier to sound good on a taped broadcast that's shown weeks or months later then it is to be broadcast live with no time to edit what you say.
That said, I would love to hear some of the "Huffmanisms" on the air, such as " he's tougher than a two dollar steak!!" or " Glover is on him like a bum on a baloney sandwich!!"
Those were fun days for sure.
Something that annoys me is the lack of analyzing the laptimes. In every other motorsport that is a key part of the race and broadcast, but not in SX. The best we get is Fro saying once or maybe twice that rider X just put in the fastest lap of the race, and that is it.
Pit Row
"Last night he was talking about Josh Grant filling in for Weimer last season" ??? Huh- it was Hahn.
he asks dumb questions after the heat races also.
Jeff isn't much better.
I'd prefer Weege and Langston IMHO
Can we at least give it a trial run please lol
I was thinking to myself: Are we watching the same race?
