On an Enduro bike with the electrics to run the lights, EFI shouldn't add but maybe, 300 bucks tops. Maybe 350 for a MX Bike since it will cost a few bucks for them to install a more powerful stator.

I'll be first in line when Beta makes a 300RR with OI like now and adds EFI.

New KTM's are lighter at stock trim.
Even after a front wheel is added with spokes thick enough so your front wheel won't go poof? Tongue

I won't usually criticize someone who built a really cool bike, that obviously has more knowledge than me in setting up a pro level bike but this article just has a giant question mark all over it.

As a Kawasaki supported team they built a bike with a Yamaha engine. Huh?

They took a bike with an aluminum frame and the best stock suspension, pulled the engine and put it in an aluminum frame designed for a different engine. Added, tens of thousands of dollars in suspension and titanium to make a bike that weighs 208lbs, 16 lbs less than a KX250f. The same weight as the stock bike they took the engine out of ? Radical?????????
MXA weighs with fluids. That stock YZ125 they took the motor from has a dry weight somewhere around 192 pounds. Who knows how much the Bud Kawasamaha weighs dry? Probably still considerably more.

As for me, I'd love an EFI 250cc 2-stroke. It might make me think about buying a new bike.

KTM and Husky cutrently make what are being called the "best 2 strokes ever made", plus the old yz250x is a great bike. Why the need for overengineered efi when carbs are so easy to tune? Im a 2 stroke guy to the core, but even I am considering a 450 for my new bike.

With that Bud built engine, it would be a Kawahama.
