Could be a steal if it's just big end of the crank sized. On the other hand if the head is wrecked along with the cylinder, cases and trans you should run. Pop the head off and take a look. Good luck.

Offer $600-$700 bucks. That way, if it ends up being too much to fix, part it out.

Edit: One other thing, PC silencers do not equate to being PC exhaust, as advertised.

Future af conversion chassis about it locked up 250f's are disposable engines. It would cost more to fix than it's worth.

If you do buy it you'd need to put a carb from an 05 on it. They were absolutely garbage in 06 and will bog if you look at it wrong.

Good call. Ask Maier. TiLUBE was running 06 CRF in AX when Theodore was a rider.
Also, I can still picture the bikes stalling when hot and being a bitch to restart or push them off the track.

Can you rebuild a 4 stroke motor or you have to pay somebody to do it. Offer him 500-600 if you can work on it yourself. Could be a great project for about $ 1500.00 total max.

Run! FYI, Grantsburg, WI has the deepest sand track in that area. Bike has probably ingested tons of that beautiful terrain?! The track is awesome though!

Realistically u can buy a new cylinder and get head fixed with bike running for 3k with that price go for it

And to answer a couple of questions
#1 Yes this was a serious Question
#2 no i dont know how to work on them
Myself (4 stroke engines)
My last bike was a 2002 CR125 wich i bought new

My though was that from what i see its about $2000
To buy a decent looking running used 250f
So if i bought this for $1000
And goy the motor fixed and suspension Revalved
I would know for sure i had a freshened up bike .

But im not sure what i would have into it at that point ?
Any guesses... with me buying the parts and paying
someone to do to do the work ?

Ps by the wa .. ive Never had a 250f or any four stroke ... infact ive never even ridden a four stroke!
