I agree, I think he is deserving of a great ride. One of my favorite riders, sick style and crazy speed when he is on and feeling it. Plus he's funny as shit.

Deano would be a great fit for the Yamaha and a third rider with Factory Yamaha. Tons of upside and potential, while Yamaha can sign him to a bonus program to save on cost and still get publicity. Meanwhile I am hoping Dean stays injury free and learns from Chad again.

I hope factory Yamaha finds the budget and resources to add Dean to the team. With JGR leaving Yamaha, the budget and bikes should be available in theory, it only makes sense to add another YZF to the class that can be a top 5 contender. Out of the guys that are free agents, Dean would be the best fit for the bike. Being taller I think Dean can make the chassis work for him in Supercross.

Why would Reed help Deano to take his spot? Reed will be great fill-in rider for Yamaha least at SX. Wink

The dude is fast and I can't imagine all that expensive. Consistency will come with time and experience/knowledge, he's still super young (as far as the 450 class goes nowadays) so Yamaha would be smart to work with him and help him uncover his untapped potential.

Hopefully Deano can get a Yamaha gig and put in some solid top tens. I think he's just as capable as CR22 if not better.

Deans mind is in the right spot, he's hungry, and he's healthy. He could be a dark horse.

I like all of the guys who aren't signed for next year (Wilson, Bogle (?) , Tickle (?) Weimer, Mookie), but Wilson is definitely the one guy who really shows he wants/deserves a chance. After all those nasty injuries and coming back like that, winning heat races and semi's this year. That shows how much heart the guy has. Unlike Malcolm, a guy that I respect too after winning a 250 sx coast title, he shows that he really wants a ride. I may get hate for this, but if you are a racer then you want to race. Simple. Deano races as soon as he can and always gives his all. I like that mentality. I just don't understand why Malcolm didn't want to race after he had 8 east coast races and then take a summer of to go fishing. Ofcourse, it is his decision. But it doesn't make sense to me. You have to respect his decision though.

I just want to say, I like Wilson his mentality. He doesn't say 'why me?' and won't blame the world. Maybe he thinks it, but he won't say it. He knows that having a good image is important, and I think he is doing a great job on social media with that. Someone already brought it up on an other topic somewhere, but Mookie started to get a 'us against the world' mentality that now is going against him. I understand that it is not fun that people are bringing his brother down, especially if that is the guy where you are looking up to. But if your instagram bio is 'do it for the haters' or something like that, then you can get what you are asking for I guess.

Maybe Mookie gets too much blame.. he was without ride year-2 ago and did buy old Geico bike to race?
He seemed to be gratefull for Geico after they did give him contract after that and did work hard to get win and championship.
Was it his choice to sit out outdoors or was it James Sr or even doctors?
They were "sure" that he will have great 450 ride after championship and didnt even think outdoors
would hurt this much.
Sure he is working hard now and riding great at Euro SX events..

I'm a known Stewart fan, and not so much of a Wilson fan...but all I can relate to is what I see/read/hear. Malcolm Stewart sat out the Outdoor season this year to "prepare for the 450 class", or so he said. Funny...Cooper Webb didn't do that, and he will also be a rookie in the 450 class this coming season. Although I would imagine that Malcolm has been riding...and we know that he at least has competed once in a Euro SX recently on a Geico Honda 450, his and his brother's complete radio silence makes it look like he's resting on his name and laurels instead of putting himself in a position to be seen and valued for his work ethic like Wilson is doing. I hope Mookie ends up with a chair on a reputable team when the music stops for the 2017 season...but if I was the guy responsible for recruiting and signing riders to a team, I know which one of the two I'd choose first, and it wouldn't be Malcolm.

I gotta hand it to Wilson for being willing to ride for free just to put a growing season in without injury. That says a lot, and I hope his attitude and zeal will get McCarty and Yamaha's attention.

Why he is riding just outdoors.. Reed have SX only so there is bike for outdoors. Would be shame to watch Wilson waiting and Reed getting just in the main results but he is too stubborn to hang the boots even motivation is not there. Have you seen any happy Reed fotos from aussie SX... he seems not having fun or desire anymore.

This is the happiest Reed has been in a long time and he is still very competitive, i wouldn't be surprised if he is the highest performer in the truck this year for SX.

I disagree with everything you have said there, but everyone is entitle to an opinion.

Not necessarily true. I met Romain earlier this year and he's a really small guy. I agree that the bike would suit taller riders but Romain is neither tall or big,

Interesting. He looks quite lanky on the bike, but yeah, he is only 174cm tall

Yeah, congrats to Reedy!! Guess after this win he needs to "hang up his boots" because he he doesn't have the desire any more...

When will people realize there is much more to racing than just results? Chad had multiple roles at Yamaha right now. Developed the bike, mentor Cooper, and get results.
