Its always extremely strange to me when people bring unrelated political issues into conversations about things non-political. Usually says a lot more about the person doing it than it does the argument itself.

It's not so much as being offended as it is about being respectful of different people and cultures. When I was growing up we called each other "fags" but since My wife and I have become good friends with her boss who's a homosexual out of respect we no longer use that term because it's a word used out of hate towards him and others like him.

Exactly this.. first show I had listened to. First thing that stuck out to me, why is he going nuts. Racist or not (it was), it was just unintelligent and not funny the first time, let alone going on about it the whole show.

It was all in fun and I don't think that they are racist. But it also wasn't funny.

Another point is that people used to do a lot of things, like put Japanese Americans in concentration camps, for example. Just because it used to happen doesn't mean it still should.
I referenced "their own heritage" when speaking of one joking about oneself in the midst of others who maybe but not necessarily joking also. . Very Simple.

It wasn't funny to you because you my friend are mature and enlightened. So you FEEL all of the unspoken inferences.

In your last effort to discredit my opinion you are trying to compare two different behaviors. One that was permitted and treated as harmless humor in our very recent past. But due to the political correctness of today (and has apparently been bought by you hook line and sinker) has now become taboo. Concentration camps have always been wrong. Back then and today.

SIT DOWN ANDREW! I expected a little more out of a varsity lettermen.
