I hate taking a new greased up chain out of the package. Mounting it on the bike. I use a grinder to cut the pins. so pulling it off and then putting it back on after its cut to length. And I don't like a greasy chain so I spend the time to wipe all the grease off. I really like a new shiny gold chain so I'll do it.

The absolute worst thing I hate doing is putting on or taking off sand paddle tires. Very small sidewalls so it's hard to pull on

I actually really hate washing my bike because I'm so OCD, it's a curse. Pull seat, insert airbox cover, probably pull side panels and maybe shrouds, lay on both sides, SOS engine, lube chain, air compress dry, towel dry engine and inner panels, WD-40 pipe, wipe between spokes, SC1 then wipe, sometimes lift the tank and clean under that...such a process. Especially after getting home really late.

Tires aren't all that bad, unless they're on black rims, or it's cold. Pinch
This!! I was just about to write all of it until you did it for me. It always adds an hour & a half to my trip home! I live in an apartment, so I have to stop by a car wash, unload the bike, wash/detail, load back up, drive home & unload again. Then I have to wash all my gear, my helmet padding 7 goggles, then hang dry all of it above a floor fan. Then my boys make fun of me because my bike always looks brand new Dizzy

I hate putting those exhaust pipe springs on in front. Pain. I don't even think I'm strong enough to change tires.

Tires are cake, black rims make it tougher but I don't mind doing them. Seat covers are my nightmare. If it has writing it never looks straight, always has a fucking wrinkle somewhere no matter how tight you pull it and the material gets bunched up in the back which makes the seat sit funky. Hate those bastards!

If it's that bad, you must not be doing it right. There is a wrong way to do it. (changing tires) A moose on the other hand, I'll pass.

Drop center is your best friend. Use it. Another trick is installing the tire with the tube in the tire already. Slide the bead over the bead lock and slip the valve stem in the rim then continue slipping the tire on. Makes for a fast install and your hands will thank you for it. Don't forget to lube up the bead.

I don't mind changing tires and doing my bike matinence . The thing I don't like is taking care of multiple bikes. When me and my wife raced full time it was never ending, her 2 bikes and mine. Now I only work on my own bike. I don't think she has done a filter or washed her bike in the last 3 years

Just got a new one tonight. Replaced the steel brake lines, rubber hoses, calipers, and pads on my wife's '02 Silverado HD 2500. Only took 10 1/2 hrs. Sick Angry

Cleaning air filters. I don't even do it anymore. I just throw them away after about 6-8 hours of riding.

Quit using that stand
Put your axle in a vice slide your tire down and get to work and change it that way
Takes 10 min max

I actually really enjoy working on my dirt bikes. Past year I learned how to re-valve my forks and
lace up some wheels. Good times! Tires aren't that big a deal, though I used to hate them. We have a
tub of that water soluble tire mounting snot that makes it easier.

For filters I use No Toil. Wait till I have a pile of about six or seven and do a tub full and get allll the major
dirt out. Then I take them with me when I'm doing laundry. Throw them in a machine on warm water, gentle cycle
with Oxy-Clean and they come out PERFECT with no hassle. Smile

Like someone else said, me no can do seat covers. I just take it straight to an upholstery shop. Charges me $20
while I go have a coffee. Money well spent in my book.

I do really hate working on my street bike. (older CBR-600 F2) The thought of pulling the carbs again
gives me a headache.

I'm jealous of you guys that know how to split cases. I want to learn how to do that, too.

I run a parts van at club mx meetings. Last sunday I done 14 tyre changes between 7:30am and 10:30am. I love changing tyres! Been doing that on race day mornings for 10 years now.

More like clay mud, you know when you can sit there pressure washing one spot only to drill a hole the size of a frikin dime into. An hour later you're too tired of washing to give a shit and the bike is still orange and you ride a Yamaha. Angry

Did you ever ride TMX before it closed down?

Or have you ridden rocky ridge?

Both of those places have that dirt that is such a beating to wash off. And heaven forbid if you don't wash it the day you ride it. That dirt dries on and doesn't come off.
