Here's how my collection looked at the beginning of 2015
Full specs can be seen in my 'Bike Checks'

The 08 is getting a full refurb with A-Kit forks/RMZ front end and Ohlins shock this winter
The 89 is currently having a 92 barrel and head fitted, along with a 97 Airstriker Carb

Will post more pics once complete!

Diggin the 89! One of the best looking bikes ever, in my opinion. I may have a 92 coming to the collection soon!

Mine is a '05 250

- I thought the same thing ? But I wanted an ignition cover

So that's why I emailed him , he said it was his web designer that kind of listed the items wrong/ weird.

He responded back right away. He said no problem.

He just made mine so I'm just waiting for it to be shipped.

He responds very quickly, better then other local vendor or Company that I've dealt with.

He has other items like skid plates, frame guards, fork guards, etc.

I have this 2005 for sale if anyone is interested.

2005 RM250

This bike is in excellent condition and has obviously been well taken care of.

It is very fast, very nimble, and very fun to ride. The only modifications are the FMF pipe, Pro Circuit Linkage, and the right fork spring is now 1 rate stiffer.

Over the course of last year I went through it and replaced the following:

The Transmission (2nd, 3rd, 4th, gears and forks), this is a weak point in the RM and lasts about 60-80 hrs)
Steering Stem Bearings and Linkage Bearings
Brake Pads
Guts Seat Foam and Gripper Cover

The previous owner had replaced the top-end before he sold it and the crank is still tight.

Title in hand.

My 04 RM250.

Looking to get another clutch cover not digging the orange one. Only other mods I can see adding is an OS front rotor, X40 front tire, full PC system, and eventually revert back to a 19 inch rim.

I've owned nothing but RMs since the late '70s.

I stopped buying new ones after '02, because that was the last year you could get a green sticker in CA, and I like to rip some trails.

JOHN! that thing still running!
glad to see you are still in the game. Let see if your memory is still going remember this beast?......

Im currently on a yz250 that i just love, it still cant hold a candle to the snap of that rm or how it cornerd! I sold it on impulse and regret it everyday. had a 2014 honda 450 and my 06 yz250, still love the yz more and sold the crf.

Oh and I crashed in the big gust of wind april 2nd dislocated my hip and shatterd my pelvis so i write this saying hello from the hospital where i have been for far to long. drop me a line buddy

Sweet looking RM there,
I kinda dig the OEM front fender on yours. I updated mine years back to the rmz's and I never thought it did much to the looks. Imo you have to trim the side plates to go along with the RMZ fender or leave it stock.
I like the way you did the side plates to, the smaller numbers look good if done right.

I just realized that I took this new picture just yesterday in almost the exact same spot. Just got her all back together after a complete rebuild from the bare frame. New Scalvini pipe , but many more things yet to bolt on.

Holy shit , I also just realized how much healthier my lawn is now since 6 months ago and using a bunch of fertilizer haha!

Looking good. I sure wish I could find a set of the RG3 clamps for mine. Like the silver, but would settle for black. Would just need to bore them out for the 49mm forks and I'd be golden.

My 06. Bought it new. The dealer said it was already obsolete.

06 RM250 just bought this bike, absolutly mint for its age, and i absolutly love it feels so nice to ride, i sold my crf2011 and bought this rm and it feels so much better than the crf imo every thing from suspension to handling is better than the 2011 crf, abit of an animal compared to the crf but im getting used to it.

Had a RM250 2009. Loved that thing, except for the stock clutch. The clutch basket had to be filed after about every 10 hours of riding, after the plates ate their way into the basket and made the plates stick. Was too broke back then to buy a new basket, but other than that the bike was sweet.

is this what makes the clutch noisy, i noticed on mine when i go into neutral then let out the clutch it is quite noisy but goes when u pull the clutch bk in, iv googled this and see its common on the rm bikes, i was a lil worried at 1st but im guessing its basket wear.

I have an 06. Can't get more than 20 hours out of a transmission though. I WANT to like the bike, but don't like it enough to dump that kind of money into it every season. Trans failures on the faces of jumps have laid me up 2x on this bike.

Love the engine, suspension is OK after revalving, ergos don't fit me that well, and it doesn't handle as well as everyone makes it seem, to be honest.

Would love to know how to fix the transmission permanently if anyone has ideas.

damn thats sexy i nearly had an 06 bin just as good condition was like new but missed out to another buyer, paid a lkil more for the 06 iv got now but its still in good condition with a few good mods, just not as clean as the 1st one i went for, still a solid bike not an issue anywhere appart from the dent in the manifold, love these bikes always wanted an rm and im sertainly not dissapointed.
