Pretty crazy that of all the things that have happened in SX this year with top 10 guys and injuries that Kickstart Kenny would be one of the few guys still standing. Props to AC9 for his podium as well. Especially when you look at number of starts in 450SX for Barcia, Tomac, Webb, Anderson. I know there are a few on here who like to bag on K-Roc, but he deserves credit for staying healthy and continuing to improve on a bike that is at a disadvantage compared to others in some ways.

Watched the 450 post race press conference....3 riders sitting up there that persevered and kept pushing. It was obvious by the comments they all struggled mentally in the past with injuries and/or mistakes but kept going and look where they ended up. The looseness and chatter of the 3 riders evidenced the mental weight has been lifted off of them. Good to see.

5/9/2022 1:58pm I remember going to Maryland to race it back in 1981 i believe it was... NEMA back in the day were the best times of my life...Was on an RM 100 at the time.. Ya i may have thrown the bike a little sideways off this jump.. Track goes left to right in this photo... Those were the days..

14/52 calms down the bike a lot when the revs are up. It’s a little taller than 13/50, but I still use 3rd gear in the corners. I tried 13/51 and didn’t like it.

I use 13/51 Sunstar sprockets and chain. I'm much happier with it than the factory gearing. 13/50 is geared too fast and the 51 helped keep the gears closer together

6/2/2020 9:35am Thank you all so much. So i will take it one step at a time. Lower torque to start off with. Then will try removing the bolt. Then if i do not like that i will order different mounts and go from there. All sound advice an much appreciated... Thanks guys

6/1/2020 5:38am Tore mine 90% and had to put in one from a cadaver. That's what happens when you are 54yrs old and racing motocross and dab your foot with no knee braces on... 8 months for me and back on a bike. Have knee braces now though... Lol You only live once!!!

I agree with Brian. But I would love to hear your argument. When bikes went to hydraulic disc brakes...lap times dropped because of better more consistent braking. When bikes went to mono shocks...lap times dropped because of better, more consistent suspension. Etc. Etc. When bikes went to electric start, lap times dropped after the inevitable crash or stall. It is all in the evolution of the sport. You must not actually race if you do not appreciate e-start. No one's opinion is wrong...It is an opinion. Just because you disagree does not make it wrong...No one died and made you...

I know this is a very very very unpopular view, but I don't believe electric starters should be allowed in professional SX or MX. It hasn't been a part of the sport since the beginning of racing until recently. Riders have never been rewarded with an easy start button after a crash or stall until now. An E button is an insurance policy for crashing or stalling your bike. These are the best riders in the world and they should not be rewarded for making a mistake (an E button when they crash). They should have to start their bikes...
