One Industries done?

I loved their designs. Almost every set of aftermarket graphics that I bought was from them. I had these on my old 250.

So what about the bicycle line, is that part of the ONE INDUSTRIES business done too? Are we talking the whole shabang or just the motocross stuff?

The parent company that owns them now also owns many of the big outdoor names like quick shade, ez-up, and host of other household names you find in big box stores. I was told the 661 bike like will eventually work its way into these mega stores like bell's bicycle line.

Really too bad to hear. I have purchased many graphic kits from them over the years and they all looked and held up very well.

I think there was a question about ONE on the Pulpmx show recently and JT$ was saying any gear brand that isn't tied to a distributor (Fly --> WPS, Thor --> Parts Unlimited, etc) is going to really struggle to survive.

I read an interview with Ludo Boinnard about how he started ONE industries that was really interesting. It seemed pretty methodical how it went from graphics to the Trooper helmet and gear. Definitely a shame how things ended up.
Business models for product sales are changing fast, Tesla is a great example. Its interesting how Alias has ignored the traditional distributor thinking with their direct to rider program. In a world of internet sales is the concept of a distributor out of date? Access to goods is now governed by the internet not a distributor. My guess is far more gear is now purchased online vs a store . The costs to produce MX Gear in China are apparently frightfully low so factory direct provides excellent margins to the gear company and excellent pricing to the consumer. Not trying to undermine the local dealer, but can the model of company to distributor to retailer compete?

All I can say is that Ludo is living a very nice life, being a great dad, and enjoying the 100% brand.

I was a rep for one in MI for 10 years. They are officially done now but have been for almost two years. As other members stated, one original owner started D'cor, the others are now the guys behind 100%. The brand was always successful when I was there. They grew to big to fast and sold the company to private equity firms to have more capital and expand the product offering. When this happened key people were let go, and the original owners lost control. Several more acquisitions happened over the next few years and it got worse every time. The company constantly had turn over and a different direction which left them unstable. Eventually industry outsiders were running the company and tanked it the last couple years I was there. I made the decision to leave which was sad. I was there when they started as a small graphic company and saw all the highs of the Monster wave, and all their gear releases. They had some of the sickest stuff for sure. RIP
Well said Chris. Pretty accurate. Being a San Diego boy I knew of ONE and its beginnings. Ludo , Marc and Danny did a pretty incredible job with ONE Ind. They all seem to have to have moved on are doing well.Marc is by far one of the most talented designers this industry has ever seen. Sad to see what people who have no idea what they are doing completely wreck a great brand. Proves you cannot apply big business to moto.

I wouldn't say it's a sign of anything realistically to me what it seems like as they were overexposed over diversified and spread too thin with too many product lines of too many unrelated things . It probably would've been much smarter to keep one as a graphics and plastics company and diversify into gear with a subsidiary company for the gear itself holy run by other people control at the top by the same they just spread their self too thin. And as a result needed capital so they sold two larger firms which as stated above lost the direction of the brand and so on and so forth ultimately to their demise
But then the branding would make no sense. It would need to be like Two or Three Industries. Dry

As the number of bike shops dwindle, the big distributors simply have less shops to sell to. Combine that with the hundreds of different shops to buy gear from on line, life certainly isn't gonna be getting any easier....

I think this is yet another sign that moto is dying... At what point will the powers that be wake up? Having full attendance at a supercross is one thing, and that makes plenty of money for feld. But it takes large attendance at local weekly races for the industry to actually thrive. Changes need to be made, big, painful changes, or moto will die off like industries like paintball, car audio, etc...

Well someone sent me this link and I guess I finally had to sign on here. Although the demise of ONE has been inevitable for some time now, it is sad to officially see it gone! As a co-founder of this brand I have so much I could say. Some of the best times of my life. What we accomplished in a 10 year time (97'-07') was almost unheard of. Marc and myself coming from JT Racing (og JT) , Ludo already had braking brake systems. It was a perfect storm. Ludo and Marc are awesome peeps! We had a plan and we executed! Not going to turn this into a documentary but we will just say after ONE was sold there was a change. By 2012 The last of the OG was gone. It was never the same. I just want to say thank you to MARC and LUDO. We were a great team. They are killing it with 100% - as suspected.
In regard to graphics, which was our roots, That is how and why D'COR Visuals has come about. With the leader at the time "ONE" dead, teams and customers where left out! I was approached for a few years to get back in and do this right! We'll here we are. INSERT COMPANY PLUG HERE! D'cor was formed because of our passion for this industry and this segment. I am backing doing what I love!

D'Cor has been around a few years now. They are the "graphics" that ONE once was. Danny has done a great job picking up the slack. I am a little surprised I haven't read more about D'Cor on this forum. They have the team grapics for Monster Energy Kawasaki, Star Racing Yamaha, and Geico Honda. I know everyone and their brother does graphics these days, but if you like the ONE Industries stuff before they company went south, I think you'll find it at D'cor.

Thanks for the brand while we had it.
Always liked the one industries stuff and still have a few sets of it now. Sure wish there was a warning as I never bought my Misfits gear.

Their graphics never appealed to me ever, and I tried one set of their gear. Hated the fit. Still, I'm very sad to see them go...

I just got some D'Cor graphics for my 2016 KTM 450. They turned out amazing! I voiced my concern about how the majority of orange graphics do not match the new KTM plastic color and D'Cor went above and beyond and tested a bunch of different colors until they matched the plastic. Huge props to all the guys at D'Cor for making great product and treating their customers right!

Thanks for the update Danny!! I did not know you were at D'COR. You were my JT Racing Rep back in the day (96ish) and I remember when One Industries began and it was cool to see it explode and evolve. Once the brand sold, the whole "feel" was gone. I knew that Marc and Ludo went to 100%, which is killling it. Good to hear you are doing what you love and working at another great company.

One Industries was my neighbor in North county San Diego, always great to go into the big warehouse for the annual garage sale.

I still have gear and a helmet still new and sealed in the bags, maybe it will pay for my retirement someday.

R.I.P One...

Was it MAG that bought One?

The One story reads pretty much like what MAG did to White Bros.
