But like I said Roczen can win AMA SX, AMA MX and the GPs and would have a good shot at winning any of those on attempt one. No other rider racing today could claim that. Roczen can do things Hearlings can not.
How many more years will it take for you to be able to spell his name?

I view these races as nothing more than a champion having fun.
He placed better than I predicted so he met and exceeded my expectations. I just wonder about why the one off exhibition riders can draw points against committed & dedicated series contenders. It has the possibility of a rider losing point bonuses, missing a point total clause of a contract, there's many scenarios that missing just few points can effect a riders future. Exhibition and pre retirement memory tours are all fine & dandy but earning total season points could be addressed, for instance a minimum number of motos that must be started or something along that line?

I guess I was going for more of the cream your race panties style of racing. Sick scrubs and look overs all over the place. Speed and style for days. no, you can race EMX250 you're whole life.

Kouwenberg (champ last season) and Clarcke (champ few seasons ago) never stepped up to MX2 because the age rule.
Only the talented and the guys with a bag of money move up.

nice job from Karlis Sabulis, fresh out of the EMX250 in MX2 and 2 times a 12the position.

For a guy who wasn't a top 5 rider in EMX250, good job.

Also Mewse with his first great MX2 ride of the season.

Great to see Reedy there, pity the results were not abit better but guess he hasn't done the outdoors for a longtime let alone the GP's.

Just wondering, with these 'guest' appearances etc and also the USGP round coming up later, will Roczen be racing? What US riders exactly will be riding?

Kind of interesting earlier in this thread when people commented as to who is the fastest between Roczen, Gajser, Herlings etc. Guess also a 'healthy' Romain Febre should also be on the list and probably a 'healthy' Dungey? Seemed that most people think Roczen is fastest, me too I think but it certainly would be interesting to see that lot line up against each other on a somewhat equal track! Can't wait!

It definitely didn't look in the same league as the other bikes it sat next to. Materials were slightly different colours, etc.

Great weekend, great weekend, so so weather but at least it wasn't pouring down.

Two gripes from me though. On both days, for some reason, security wouldn't let you into the viewing area. On Saturday we walked down the hill to the pits & that's how we got in. Then on the Sunday we wasn't allowed into the viewing areas until 8:15 (we tried the same trick as on Saturday but they had cottened onto it) some 15 minutes before EMX300 warm up. The security couldn't give us a reason for this, they was just following orders.

Getting out took us 1hr 30mins to get to the road, no organisation just a free for all. It should be organised a bit better in the future. That said, kind of expected it to be bad & won't put us off going next year.

The thing about it being Reed's "first GP in xx amount of years" is just weird. Emig must have repeated that sentence about 45 times during the broadcasts but to me it is just weird, What matters is how long it has been since a professional MX race, whether it is a GP or an AMA national means nothing. Both are top level events.

Saturday was ok because like you we walked down the vehicle access road and in next to the pit entry in plenty of time to see the 300s come out but Sunday was a joke, we did get trackside in time being near the front of the que but others missed out. Sunday evening we watched the podium, did another lap of the pits hoping to meet Emig (we didn't Laughing ) then wandered back to van, chilled out, had a bite to eat and drove out without too much hassle, took about twenty mins from campsite to the road and a further 20 mins to be at the bottom of the A34/M3 roundabout, home at 10ish.
My main gripe would be £40.00 to park the van on top of the tickets, pit passes etc.

We took an adjustable spanner and undid the fencing behind the food places, right in front of the security guys camping lorry. They didn't even blink when I put my hand up and waved. Must of thought we were trade. Nice seating position right next to the fencing in front of the monster stand.

What time did you start to drive out so I know for future reference? I see in your pictures you was in the Monster rig. I was standing by the downhill triple that was next to it. How'd you get in there & was it better for viewing?
