Im in a bit of a quandary right now.

My girlfriend is due to give birth any day - her due date was actually yesterday - but I really want to see Chad Reed race the British GP this weekend!

She told me that as long as there's no signs of labour by Sunday morning I can drive down to Matterly Basin. Im excited for the birth obviously, but part of me hopes it doesn't come until next week. Is that bad? Grinning
Congrats Jamma! If you saw him there at the MXDNs in 2006 you should be ok this time around. If you didn´t I have no other advise but to warn you of angry and bitter women. Yes means no - always!

That vid does one of the best jobs of showing elevation change that I have ever seen... nicely done...

The elevation changes and track layout looks awesome… the dirt looks worse than milestone on a 100deg day!

Thanks mate. Yeah I saw him at Donington Park.

The girlfriend is going to be induced tomorrow morning now, so it looks as though the baby will arrive before the weekend afterall.

No way! Pretty sure reedy will be top 10ish ^^. Even think top 5 is possible. I just don't see him get beaten by guys like charlier, butron, potisek. He's no stranger to the euro circuits. But even if he wouldn't score points it be great to see him ride again!

Im thinking he'd do well to get top 15. Not much outdoor mx for him in the past couple years.
I'm going with 17th overall with a DNF added in. The video wasn't too encouraging, Gonna be tough for him with that speed and flow, a over riding high speed get off looming I fear.

Good luck Jamma and family. A little word of advice about delivery. Be sure to remind her how hard delivery is on you as well.

When was the last time Reed crashed because of over riding? He's too old for that shit...

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 17 overall though. But with a top 5 neither.

This, is Not good advice.

Say that to a Woman who has just given birth, and I reckon she'd probably want strangle you., and, be bloody well justified in doing so.

Actually Jamma I have a solution for you! Don't worry about seeing Reed race the MXGP, stay home with the Wife and hope bubs comes along. Then book some flights to Australia for November and see Reed race at home while you enjoy a well deserved trip O/S

I read MXA cover-to-cover during labour for our first child in 1989.

Well, it was going on for hours.

My wife went into labour just before the Friday night final started at the 1992 NEC SX .. I told her to cross her legs for 15 mins and we would be ok... she gave birth at around 1pm the following day , and at 5pm she told me to go home to get some sleep... 6pm was back at the NEC for 2nd night. .. Sunday was visiting in the day , she asked if I minded not going so she could let her parents come... back for day 3.

As for Reed at Maggiora, apart from learning where the track is , and which way round it goes, total waste of time apart from a days riding. Track wouldn't ever be raced like that , Youthstream would flood the thing all week and rip it a foot deep everywhere.

Matterley this weekend will be perfect, wet as hell leading up to it , track will be awesome , camping and everything else will be a mare... sad to be missing the racing , but not the rest of it.

Difficult to say where Chad may end up result wise, kind of think it will at least be top10 but hope he can go for a top 5 or better even. Some of those Des Nations races a few years back he was up at the front with the best of them and it wasn't that long ago.

Will be a good to have him racing a few rounds and see how it all works out.

I was for sure kidding. I added some dumb emoji but it did not show up. My wife/baby mama stares daggers with me the few times I have joked with her about how hard labor was on me.
