He gets a lot of shit on here but the guy is very plugged in and knows his shit. He isn't afraid to speak his mind and give his view on things and I think that's a good thing.

Not another person in our sport puts out as much content and inside info as Steve.

Better than JT$? That's up for debate, but great job nonetheless!

I love Matthes! Very good job. He seems relaxed, smart but not condescending (he explains things in understandable terms; kind of reminds me of a John Madden of MX) and it doesn't seem like he's trying too hard or just talking to fill up the space.....but I thought it was funny when he said something like, "They don't worry about their nutrition like cyclists. A little hydration, electrolytes, an energy drink and they're good." Huh Spoken like a true Manatoba champion! You can't throw out tid bits of wisdom like that without telling us weather it's rock star, red bull or monster energy that they drink. Joking aside, an hour of Matthes before EVERY race would be friggen awesome!

Edit: JT you did a great job as well. We need all three of you for the pre-race show! JT, Matthes and the cute girl too!

You can't compare Mathes and JT$, is like choosing between beer and whiskey, or boobs and ass, you need both! haha.

They are both real assets to our sport and really keep guys like me (sporadic weekend warrior living in a city miles away from the moto life) interested, invested and in tune with whats going on. My interest in the GP's has largely wained, find it so much easier and more interesting to follow Stateside racing, mainly because of the media.

I would be curious to check out JT hosting a solo podcast though and interviewing riders.
Be cool having that insight as an ex pro.

Did great. You could tell he had to hold back a bunch of times when he wanted to turn the pulp on haha all they need is Matthes, JT$ and throw Ping in there would be great. I like Jim holly and bowyer but I think Matthes could get something going for sx pre show too. Pretty natural speaker and knows his stuff

I also thought it was awesome. I enjoyed his sense of humor and felt he was a great addition to the show with the info he has. I was cracking up pretty good when he was explaining how he is the only mechanic to have his riders bike grenade on the starting line. Laughing

I watched the Hangtown pre race show live and loved it, this past weekend though I was out camping so I missed everything. Oddly enough though before I went and watched the motos from GH I actually watched the entire pre race show. Its that good! Please NBC, DC, or whoever, please keep this going!

Thanks for the link. I went back and watched 'em both. Yeah she's new but you could see the improvement already. Really liked them. Weege's line about wheeling out Matthes in the hannibal lecter mask and ankle collar had me spewing my drink. Smile And to echo what Woods said above, the powers that be should really look into keeping it going.

I enjoyed both pre-race shows. As mentioned above, both JT and Steve were great and different.

I'd really like to see this show continue throughout the series.

Get JT, Steve, Wege, etc. all on!!
