My buddy @jrod_racing snapped a sick vid of Stankdog wringing out the 125 over the 180ft booter and giving the fans a show.

It is pretty rad!

Too bad the only times I saw him on TV was getting lapped and being a nuisance.

I wish they would put the GoPro on Stankdog for the track preview for every round.

I was at GH today, and I gotta say after seeing it in person i agree with Matthes' assessment of Stank on the 125. And it's a rare day I agree with much that SM says! Anyway, I couldn't help but wonder why even bother riding on that 125. He was hopelessly underpowered and was running in last place by a large margin in the second Moto. What's the point.....? He's getting smoked on that thing and what is he really accomplishing other than getting cheers from a few diehard 2 stroke guys..... It wasn't pretty. It's gotta be down almost 15 horse to a top teams 250f

Yeah ya right he should just be on a 250f and get 20-25 spend more money, get zero following and not have as much fun.. Also do you reckon he would've got on the factory husky team if it wasn't for the attention he got last year?

He looks like he's having a lot of fun.
His bike might be uncompetitive compared to a 250f prepped by a pro ream, but let's say he rode a 250 f built to whatever his budget allows...would it vault him upwards in the results,or would he still be running last?
Would one of the top riders be running dead last if they had to ride a 125 instead?
I guess glen Helen is a bit of an ask for a 125 on those long up hills , but it might be more competitive in the sand at southwick.
Anyway , he might be just taking some pride in qualifying for nationals on a 125 .
I wish I could be there to watch, I would cheer for the guy every time he went past

"For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
That is, for the Homo sapiens is Lord of joy and fun, but people forget that MX (and life, by the way) is all about having joy and fun. Keep it fun, Stankdog!! Go big! Live your dream!

Cuz Losers like Adam Cianciarulo don't deserve your attention?

Did I miss something here??? Was his spot (40 fastest riders for the day) behind the gate handed over to him because quote:"he is getting cheers from a few diehard 2 stroke guys" or did he EARN his spot beating quite a few guys on 250F? He was 12th at the first turn in the LCQ, and finished 3rd. At one stage he was actually 29th in the first moto (moving up from mid 30's) with very decent lap times ... 2 stroke, 4 stroke, 6 stroke, 8 stroke who cares ... props to Stankdog for an amazing accomplishment and giving smiles to many diehard MX (2 stroke/4 stroke) fans. Colorado will be another tough one, and he'll need to get the jetting right, but after what we saw this weekend, I believe he can do it at Thunder Valley.

Cianciarulo will never be an outdoor 250 contendor again, you can chisel that in stone. He'll be lucky to get a top 5 overall this year. For someone who was so highpy hyped coming out of the amatuer ranks, he hasn't lived up to it and hasn't finished an entire series ever in his professional career.

I think its great he is on the 125, I wonder what the difference in cost is to race the smoker opposed to the 250f

"What's the point?"

Because he is racing. At US MX Nationals. And everyone in the world but 39 (125 class) other guys are NOT. By all indications he is accomplishing such bad-assery with less $$ and more FUN than is the norm.

Agreed! I always follow the ticker to see where Stank is running. I also look for him whenever I check on practice times. It would be nice to see him get some points later on this year.

Pretty much me too 1-5 and where is Steinke. Honestly I don't even know who got 5 yesterday. I do know Steinke qualified. Just to qualify is a win in my opinion.

To the guy that commented about him getting on the husky factory team for ax. That bike is so far off what the real factory huskys are it's not even comparable!
