Good show! Chad Reed one was badass. He gave a different side to his journey then he has ever before.

Dmxs rocks, they just need to lay off the "we have been behind you and know you forever, since the beginning, my dude!". My only complaint with the show but hell I'll still listen regardless.

Pulp Mx is king of kings at the end of the day. Even my basset listens with me.

The guys at DMXS show you a side of the riders you would never hear anywhere else. A small window to see what they are like outside of moto. Their show has given some guys a cult like following and a level of popularity that has exceeded their results. It's more than just moto. Thanks David and Kevin for all the years of work.

I like Pulp better personally. I don't get the humor used on the DMXS show and that's my main complaint.

My second favorite would be the Main Event podcast. Very good as of late.

I love me some Kelly and Izer.
And Steves anecdotes about the foolish industry people is always entertaining.
Current favourite is Daniel Blairs show.

I don't understand all the recent hate. These guys have been doing this for moto for 15 years, and I've been listening since ~2006. I think they're great: if you don't, why can't you just not listen instead of starting a thread to bash on guys that give back to the sport for free?

I actually thought the last episode where they accidentally screwed up the sound board while waiting for Dungey was comedy gold. It was so much better than the rider interviews, and these guys get riders that Pulp sometimes can't (say, Barcia right now until he grows up).

Fuck 'em, Izer. You can't please everybody. I appreciate all the free content you provide.
This 100%! ^^^^

I can't listen to DMXS at all.

The Kelly family chased a lot of people away from Bremen with their antics. King Kelly (dad) is a great guy but his boys got greedy and thought they had some kind of power.

Kevin once told me that the "general public" (his CUSTOMERS!) are impossible to please, and we control them as we need to.

When I hear DMXS, it always brings back the frustrations of how the Kelly's treated their customers.....

However, if you were part of the clique, you got special treatment. Only paying customers were treated like shit.

Listen to the pulp archive and you can fast forward all the adds and the constant plugs, you can get it down to about 2.5 hours. It is getting more and more like an infomercial.

Matthes made me laugh one show when he mentioned supercross live was just basically 3 hours of adds, ha pot meet kettle.

My intentions for starting this tread were simple. I was just looking for others thoughts on both shows. I listened to the barcia interview on Dm and the AS as well i have tryed to listen to others but its painful. Thanks every one for your imput and dont forget to tune in to plup tonight!!! Lol

That's the spirit! Let's bash on the show, which is free, and the track, which was one of the best in Ga. That way we can have less options. And if the track is too scary, you can always go to Durham Town. I think some of the trails are paved now.

I'm more of a fan of Pulp I like how Matthes sticks to his guns and isn't afraid to call basically anyone out on his show, makes it feel really authentic. JT and... Weigant? Are fucking awesome to.

A good friend of the show just emailed me a link to this thread and I had a good chuckle at the OP.

I'm not sure that someone has ever gone to such lengths to bash the show by creating a dedicated new username before over the last 15-years. I mean you must really have to hate the show to hide your prestigious normal cyber- identity from the world so you could regurgitate that masterpiece to the moto world without repercussions. Well-played, sir.

I don't often respond to such negative energy, but I didn't want to disappoint you after you tried so hard to get some attention.

-Matthes does this for a living and does one helluva job with all his contributions, not just Pulp
-I apologize that someone keeps forcing you listen to our shitty show
-I wish there was a way that could be avoided (Fingers crossed that some technology exists in the near future)
-If you want to write another love letter to Matthes you can just leave our shitty show out of it from now on
-Try more positive topic lines in the future like, "I Love PulpMX" "PulpMX for President" "PulpMX 4ever"
-I will plan a conference call with our board to address the concerns outlined in your diatribe

There are plenty of options out there with more moto podcasts coming soon. Just try to concentrate on supporting the ones you like instead of bashing the ones you don't.

Excellent response! Both shows are great and the neat thing is that a person can choose to listen to both of them, none of them, or one or the other. keep up the great work. Smile

If you don't get it, you need to listen more. Both shows are incredible and we are so lucky to have them. When I was a kid we got to watch the USGP once a year, two months after it happened. That was it! You could read Cycle News if you were really hooked in. 1 900 infmoto was a big breakthrough. If you're from the seventies or eighties you probably get it. Izer, Kelley, Matthes (and all his cohorts), much love to you all. You make my days painting fly by and you keep me informed and laughing. Thanks!

GAWD YES! Izer just smoked you @slayer. Do you even ride bro?

Haha, you obviously don't have the CC's to run in that big boy DMXS class, stay with the Pulp Lites Class and leave DMXS to those of us with a sense of humor. Kevin and David are comedy gold: the riders, industry and Racer X all think they are more than worthwhile and provide good FREE entertainment. Their humble insights are amazing and bring great perspective to the maybe too serious environment of MX these days. (For guys who actually have day jobs and do it for the simple LOVE of the sport ) I hope they never retire and keep bringing us weekly moto-based entertainment. There is pure substance and a self mocking tone that they have at DMXS that you do not find almost anywhere else. But they do have Weege on waaaay too much, I will admit that.

I for one love it and "will fistfight the next guy who badmouths them - just come find me at the starthouse at Glen Helen next weekend at 12 noon"

Different shows. Been listening to pulp since show one and it has been awesome. In fact I don't think I'd be such a huge fan of moto if it wasn't for that show. That being said, I enjoy listening to Dmxs just as much, Kelly and Izer are great together and I am one of the guys that love that type of Humor/jokes. Plus they have great radio voices Wink

So I love both shows, I don't understand why some guys think that Dmxs is childish, I think the Keefer after dark stuff takes the trophy when it comes to lame/childish jokes. doesnt bother me at all though.

Been listening to both since day one. Love them both. I have people that have no clue about moto loving the DMXS guys humor. Bashing something online like this is like your other daily saying, "would you like fries with that."
