I wanted a local Pro to throw that '05 around at Dixon. Kyle Tigert was the victim.
Good luck at the next round Vicki!
If so, I agree. Carry on, sir.
Pit Row
VG looks about 100 percent better than she did a year ago. She did seem to dislike the big whoops today, but is way more aggressive on attacking sections than in the past.
In the heat race she started last, and picked off a couple guys that I saw.
It's a step forward.
Here's where I'm at with this. My greatest accomplishment thus far on two wheels as been making an endurocross main in the AMATUER class. By the standards of some self centered losers in this thread, I guess I shouldn't have been very happy. Well guess what, I've probably never been so excited and pumped in my life! I was so stoked it wasn't even funny, to be able to race in the night program and prove to myself I could do it, that meant so much to me personally that whatever happened after that didn't even matter, and that's something I'll remember for the rest of my life. I figure what Vicki pulled off was the same way for her but on an even greater scale, and for a bunch of keyboard warriors to think they have the right to try to take that away from her is sickening.
End of rant, hope you guys find something in your life to make you happy other than dragging others down.
Nothing at all wrong with her in the Night show, she deserved it, so do the others that made it, not everyone can make it, that's reality. As far as rolling around we see that all.of the time , in fact in the Pulp show callers chastise Jeff Alessi for rolling around in the 450 mains this year. So that's not unique to her.
But what barriers did she break down? Not understanding the breaking down barriers -- were females banned from competing and she changed that?
was there an interview asking what she wanted to accomplish ?
maybe her goal was to just simply reach the LCQ
and then she was so happy she just wanted to roll off the starting gate and just roll around like one of those 7-year-old KTM child riders
she may have known all along (ok, she knew) that she stood no chance at all in actually qualifying
so all she wanted to do in the lcq was to just "be there"
so, roll and roll and roll
I thought she rode really well in the LCQ and straight up passed and beat 3 other racers. Yeah in the heat race she rolled a lot of the track but that wasn't all that different then a lot of other riders who get into a crash after the first turn. Big deal, she didn't hold anyone up or get into the way so let it go. In the LCQ she attacked the track and was skimming the whoops before the finish line. Yes she was rolling the first set of whoops on the track but they did look pretty big and again she wasn't the only person to be rolling them.
Now a really cool thing. Lots of people in the stands where I was sitting were pumped for her especially women. I personally think this is great thing same with the extra publicity she gets. She is appealing to a new demographic so sure feld jumps on it to promote the races. Guess what it is also getting people interested in the sport that might not of been before. If that helps sell bikes, gear etc and improves the health of this sport I'm all about.
