Here is the deal, I've been around had my fair share of main events and outdoor nationals. I stepped off the professional scene when my father passed away in 2012 and began training up and coming kids with my uncle Gary Bailey. I now own/operate lake sugar tree motorsports park and training complex where I work day in and day out along side Gary. The whole deal with the jeans and Plan shirt came in mind last year. It honestly makes me sick to my stomach to see the amount of guys that race SX/MX at the TOP level of our sport, making night shows, even making main events, but yet they still get "50%" off on their gear. Do they realize a local "C" rider that rides up to the gate with a cigarette in his mouth can get "50%" off if he sends in a resume? Like come on guys open your eyes, market yourself, you're spending your money(that you aren't making because feld is a .....nvm) for a company to have their product and name plastered all over your body. Market yourself because you won't eat off fields purse....Look at the exposure I received yesterday for that? The sponsors that helped me get to that event are stoked on it, who gives a shit what the results were, they want exposure and they received it. I would love to be back out there for all 17 races, he'll I would do it in Jeans and a T-shirt, but the risk/reward is silly when you are the one footing the bill. Oh and my whole set up yesterday, cost me $28.77 ...... The bike was borrowed, the knee braces were borrowed from the same guy, actually custom fit CTIs for his leg, and the helmet was his as well. Best part about it, we had a damn good time.
Besides the fact I potentially broke my navicular and tore something in my bad shoulder.
Jeans like, extra space & kevlar for the knees and engine heat, some protections inside, good vent, lighter than real jeans, that could become a new trend for the guys that just want to ride for fun.

The track: by far the worst Daytona I've ever ridden or even watched for that matter. It made for close racing but it looked like a single file slot car race. I believe they need to give RC a year off and let his pencil sober up from all the S's it drew this year.
The jeans are actually really comfortable, when I went back to actual riding gear I couldnt grip the seat as well as I could in my jeans especially when seat bouncing something. DC was super pumped on the set up and so were many AMA officials, media guys and such, one that wasn't was Mr. Galleghar. He walked up to me before 2nd practice and said " you just implemented a new AMA rules" I responded asking what it was, and he said "you tell Me" as he walked off.
What's unsafe about jeans? I think that they are way more durable than most gear on the market?
