I hated waking up to this on racer x, hopefully the kid can put it together. Does anyone know when his contract ends with PC?

I think this is his last year. This old article is from August 2011 when it said he signed a 5 year deal (12,13,14,15,16)

Still plenty of time to get ready for outdoors. He needs to stay focussed and not give up. If Christian Craig has taught us anything it's that there's always a chance.

Absolutely true, but their careers, while being successful, did not match the hype behind them coming out of the Amatuer ranks.

I'm just saying the path Adam has been on parallels these examples.

I'm pulling for him. This kid is good for the sport and brings excitement and personality.

He will heal up and get back on track I hope.

Wow, this sucks. Are most of his injuries SX-related vs MX?

Far out AC, stay on the bike dude. Even if you get a top 5 overall a few seasons in a row - to build on... thats better than trying to star shoot and getting injured every single time.

Webb has like 5x more pro racing experience than you nowdays because he isn't afraid to build.

If everyone's gonna compare him to RR maybe it would be who of him to go train with the guy.

Seems like his body just isn't built tough enough for this sport. He obviously has great talent and skill, but I am afraid his body is going to be used up and worn out before he ever gets his pro career really started. I feel sorry for the guy. He has committed his entire life to this sport.

Damn, AC can't catch a break.

I wish this kid would just stay healthy! I know there's been a few injuries for him since he moved up but, it proves that having a super successful amateur career doesn't mean much when you get to the pros. Other than helping with getting a ride that is. Didnt Jackson Richardson say in the Spectrum series that his dad told him it is more important to be successful in the pros than to have a successful amateur career?

Some kids get given a unfair advantage when they are younger. Fast bikes, sponsors, strict training etc etc. When they hit the big bikes the advantage is gone as every one has Fast bikes, sponsors, strict training etc. AC has been molded to act and speak like a champion the pressure is on him to be a champion but it is always easier coming from behind to win when there is no pressure. I feel for him as he is such a great personality.

I'll probably get yelled at here and called an idiot but oh well.

I'm almost thinking he should just click it up to a 450 and say screw the 250. The only reason I say this is because when ever I have seen him riding that 250 it seems like he is really pushing it hard to do some big things. Throw him on a 450 and get him a riding coach to keep him clean and smooth.

But realistically if he ran a 450 he would get hurt more but just an outside of the box idea.

I am always bummed to see him injured. Great personality, for me he has a really smooth style for the 250s, he looks really in control so his injuries are pure bad luck ... Bummed ! Get well soon !

Fragile.

I like Adam, but you have to ask how long he'll be able to pull top-shelf team interest with his "bad luck" and lack of being able to finish...or even start a season well without being injured.

yeah, AC and Malcolm should totally just forego the lucrative rides on factory 250 teams where they can contend for wins and championships when healthy, and instead go up to the premiere class where they're unproven and unlikely to get a top tier ride.

sounds like a great plan to me.

That's not my point at all. And I don't think it'd be a good idea for AC to skip 250s at all.

What I'm saying is, I'm surprised Mookie wasn't offered a 450 ride somewhere when he was a free agent. His deal with Honda was settled really late. I get why he wouldn't leave a factory 250 ride, he said it doesn't matter what he's riding as long as he has a ride he's happy.

I just think a 450 suits Stewart so much better. Seems like he's always trying to stretch the 250 out so much and it comes back to bite him. Plus he's a big guy! I just personally think he'd do well in the premiere class ask well, if not have better luck.

Same thing for Justin Hill. Remember MEC 2014 ? He HAS to race the 450!

I feel for pro circuit more than anyone in this. They do have a few great competitors this year, but it's nothing like the late 90's and 2000's. Pro Circuit was the standard of success to me. I hope they can get the riders they need to become that once again.

Maybe he's just needs to get his Lucky Rabbits Foot back from AMA Pro Ryan Breece ! Wink

Great post.

Personally I think the hype machine started too early for AC. It was years of "the coming of AC"'and I can't imagine the associated pressure that came with it.

I am a huge fan and am hoping he's got the injury gremlins behind him now.

Adam's biggest strength is his self-confidence not his talent imo. He sees himself as the talent level of RV, Roczen or Herlings. I don't personally think he is on that level talent wise, but his confidence is.

And that might just help him get out of the injury rut and still be the success he thinks he was born to be,

Luckily he is still quite young but with Forkner coming up this year Adam is no longer the new kid, the next generation of talent in coming and Adam needs to start producing.

More technique and less aggression might help him too, he doesn't have the strength RC and RV had to get away with that aggression. He needs to ride smoother.

Hopefully this is the last of the injuries and we can see what this kid can really do on a bike in the outdoors.
