Powerlift Stands

Finally available for purchase....

I gotta say that I f-ing love this stand ! I've busted up my shoulders and back to the point that I hope I never have to lift my bike onto a normal stand again. There are more "OLD GUYS" in here than young guys, most of us need every little bit of assistance. Although it's not an inexpensive stand, it's worth every penny to me.

a little more expensive than the last one, but way quicker to hit the lever to drop the bike. Been using this for about 8 seasons now and bought one for my riding buddy for christmas when he got his new crf450.

I feel bad saying this, because I love it when someone invests their time and effort into motocross and especially when they take such a risk to create a business, BUT...

- In my experience, you can't get a bike straight on the stand without either moving the stand or the bike to get it lined up. The stand is 19 lbs, so it's not like you can just tap it with your foot to get it in line, and if you have to move the bike it defeats the purpose of buying that stand in the first place.
- As others have mentioned, there's a mechanical alternative that takes relatively little effort. If you're capable of riding a bike, you're capable of putting your foot down on a lever to get the mechanical stand to rise.
- Who thinks about charging their stand? Would that be a bitch to haul a stand out to the track only for it to die on you and not actually lift your bike?

I'm with ya, I can't imagine sliding thing over grass or dirt to get it under the bike... while holding the bike up. Sometimes it's easier to lift my bike over to my mechanical stand than it is to get it under the bike. And my stand only weighs 5lbs or so

It's a very cool product that's getting some rave reviews but you hit the nail on the head!

You can't (at least I can't) line the bike up perpendicular to the stand I still need to pick the back up to swing it straight which kinda defeats the whole idea on not lifting.

My father is 62 and he still lifts his bike on to a stand. I just tip the stand on its side and lean the bike on it. Work smarter, not harder.

I can do that one better. A lot of times I just drop the bike on the dirt. Zero effort! Of course it's usually during the race which tends to hurt my finishes but like I said...no effort at all.

I can best that. I don't actually have a bike, and just post here to feel like a big man by talking shit, so don't need any sort of stand at all. *cry*

Grinning

This thread made me think of a revelation I had earlier this year. I rode 450's for about 10 years and hated putting those things on a center stand after a moto or practice being only 5'8 and of normal strength.

Since I've got my 150 I just toss it up there after a ride (I'm less tired to from fighting 40 less pounds in the first place.)

Then I rode by dad's 450 FE and although it is only 225 or whatever they claim it still felt like a tank putting it on a stand after a few laps.

Most guys I ride with that ride four strokes just lay them against their truck or use a side stand. Too weak to lift it but hey I"m totally strong enough to ride it, bro! Laughing Laughing

isn't the owner the n-style that designed and sells these? i read that somewhere before and although its a good idea it is somewhat pricey.

i would be super bummed to lose my 300 dollar stand if i left it somewhere, fell out of the truck, got stolen, etc...but at 19 pounds, its going to take hulk to steal it Wink

for 300 bones, you could pay a kid at the track 3 bucks a hundred times to do it for you. while teaching him the value of hard work, lol.

Seems over complicated and over priced, just lift your darn bike. If you cant lift it take up golf or scrap booking.

^This is a wise man instead. Multi-beneficial idea right here. Save money and create jobs for the working man... err kid. Too bad there aren't more people running our nation with these street smarts, we would have a powerful economy once again.

If I see anyone at the track with one of these I'm going to kick their bike off the stand.

I bought one of the stands a few years ago, the battery has died.
From what I can figure out the company has closed down or stopped making them. Is this correct.

Been using one of these since 2000. Drop tab broke in 2001. I’ll probably use this beast until the day I die... have a harbor freight square stand for the house, although I don’t need it. The day I will need to electrically raise my dirt bike is the day I stop riding. BTW golf is really fun.

Oh yeah... I ride a 250 2T. Might change my tune when I go 450.

You don't need one until you have one! Kind of like the electric starter.

Normal stands are good enough for most people I would have thought. I have a hydraulic lift stand but I got that for free with my bike, it's nice but I wouldn't buy one!
