Not consistent race moves, but two individual actions that blew me away. Dungey's mid-air suicide shift from Vegas a few years back, and Stewart's look-back through the whoops back when he was a 125 kid. I don't keep those pics, but I'm sure someone on here has them...
This one?

Here's another favorite, hard on the brakes:

Ya man, that's the one. Thanks for putting that up. I just can't imagine doing that.

Well, I could, but not riding it out.

Cross up wheelies n brake slides. Duh. And low speed or high speed, scrubs are great when they're flat.

My favorite move is "The combo that desn't look like it would be faster but is" move. It often involves slowing before a rhythm, or soaking up a single, wheel taps, low trajectories, etc. You can check out Brayton pulling this move in Toronto the same night Stewart was up front jumping huge things with his huge things.

The motocross version of this I guess would be using bumps to leap over bumps, and, again, soaking up singles. Like this... https://www.instagram.com/p/3y_VY1AzIv/

Just using the track unlike your competitors, generally.
I totally agree the way some dudes just think out of the square about sections and I find it more impressive when they do it during a race.. I was trying to find the vid of Cairoli at Lierop when he jumped way further than everyone else into a turn using a massive braking bump as a downramp and just making loads of time.. but then I found this and it's just as good haha

I forgot about brake slides. I love watching guys back into corners a la road racing or flat tracking.

haha well I can't claim that good of an eye cause I'm familiar with the shot and I remember him going in those x-games and just throwing it upside down and hanging off the thing.. It's gotta be a good time being that comfortable on a bike!

I like the photo of Durham waving to Villopoto as he is getting passed. Does anyone have that?

There's another old video of Stewart on a night track. It's on youtube. He's on a 125 and scrubs the first jump then seat bounces a huge jump after that. Really quick clip. Anyone?

Transworld also made a video that was on youtube where Stewart is practicing. He comes around a huge right hand sweeper and scrubs a small table. Lands clear in the flats. Right in front of another small table. He does it 3 or 4 times in a row but the last one is huge
