Having watched the move a few more times, I don't think it's quite as bad as I thought it was at first. It was a bad move, it was mistimed and badly executed. But Friese gets the bike turned and pointing out of the turn before they both collide, he didn't run up the berm and wipe Peick out, but he gave him nowhere to go and Peick just came off the berm and couldn't miss him

MC tells it like it is. Others attach emotion to it. That's the problem with the scale.

It's all in the context. If Friese was moving forward through the pack and made that move it would have been viewed differently. Or, had it been for position in the main, or the last transfer spot on the last lap, etc. Instead he was moving backward, and it was an attempt to retake the position he'd just lost. Plus, his history over the years.

I didn't think it was any worse than the move Canard put on Dungey.
I agree with Peelout, time to move on from this one.

IF MC as on the receiving end of it, he'd have a different story !!

In all honesty, it wasn't the take out move that caused Weston to lose his cool, it's the fact that Friese thinks it's OK to ride like a dick and get away with it.

Nope,MC deals with it himself, just ask James Stewart. Wink Then Stewart whined about it after the race.

I think overall, Vince has been better the last few years. His big mistake was revisiting Weston multiple times on Saturday night, and Weston is someone that he already has had history with.

I was impressed when Friese was riding 250s he is not that far off the pace at times and has been going pretty good on the 450s also.

I could named this video Carmichael vs McGrath the amount of times Carmichael's name half gets mentioned even though he wasn't involved haha.

I agree, it was pent up aggression based off their previous issues. It was a great DMXS show by the way...

good point,,,, and McGrath pointed out the same thing - I think McGrath was just commenting on that particular incident in that particular turn. McGrath also pointed out VF does not have good track etiquette. I think most would probably agree with McGrath. If you just pretend you know nothing about VF's history and re-watch the incident and compare it to the RD/TC incident, then you will notice nothing too bad with it. But then remember the history of VF and suddenly most would say it was understandable (but not acceptable) what WP did.

Agreed! The first incident certainly didn't look dirty to me. The second one looked like 1000 other passes I have seen. Like many have said if it were anyone else I don't think WP would have reacted the same, I hope not anyway. WP has said, if not mistaken, he isn't giving an inch in that situation. I don't blame him but when you are getting passed, well.....

I think the MX / SX world is a very high-quality sport with top class people involved, In the MX/SX world when a participant gets pissed off at a fellow competitor, like VF (who just is a total exception to the rule, =bad apple), the frustration just spills out in the heat of the battle, We do not really have sinister people in the MX/SX world who would actually plan to go beat up someone, by the time the race is over, the explosion of anger is long gone.

What is really amazing is that someone like VF can actually exist in this sport. What a life he has, comes to a race knowing everybody hates him, goes out on the track knowing what all the normal riders think of his dirty riding, and is able to get up every morning and continue this life style. That is one amazing guy, VF.... It takes a character like a Putin to just keep it up year after year being the bully. 99.9% of the normal riders out there would just get fed up with being disliked and eventually change (like Barcia). It is just plain stupid to put all the work into being good in this sport and then go to the starting line thinking of taking someone out instead of trying to get on the podium. Especially for a grown man, for crying out loud..... In my mind Bowers is another VF type, we will see soon if he will be showing signs of growing up like Barcia, or will he continue down the VF path. Just watching interviews of Bowers, it sure seems he has that certain VF crazy-eyed character about him. Hope they both wise up and join the professionals - it would be a win-win for everyone, they both have great potential...

Technically I agree, but The Freezer has enough of a history to earn a reputation and several nicnames

Freise has a knack for, and quite a history of "mistimed & poorly executed" passes...doesn't he?
